Palworld - Preparing for the Sakurajima Update
The trailer can be viewed here: https://x.com/Palworld_EN/status/1799210568244679078
The Palworld Database website can be found here: https://paldb.cc/en/
Thread of new Pals can be seen here: https://x.com/KnowOnePlays/status/1799336958361297312
Main takeaways from the trailer are:
- New Pals!
-- Bushi Noct is likely to be the best Lumbering Pal in game (unless a Lumbering 4 Pal is added)
-- Quivern Terra likely to be the new Pal for highest Grass damage in the game
-- Blazamut Noct Raid Boss
- New Arena Mode
-- Player v Player plus 3 Pals each
- New Equipment
-- Laser Rifles, Miniguns, Quad Rocket Launcher
-- Sci-Fi style Armor
- New Base Building Parts
-- Sulphur Pit
-- Coal Pit
Recommendations to prepare your game for the Sakurajima Update:
- Make Worker Astegons in case the Oil Extraction Work Suitability becomes relevant
- Make Powerful Combat Pals that do not rely on the Mounted Bonus for use in Arena Mode
- Make Worker Bushis to breed into Worker Bushi Nocts for the best Lumbering Pal in game
I forgot to mention these in the recap since they are somewhat obvious and not exactly new insights derived from the trailer
- Stockpile Advanced Crafting Materials such as High Quality Pal Oil and Quarts as the new weapons look high tech and will likely need Polymer and Circuit Boards
- Stockpile Pal Spheres to catch the new Pals with
- Stockpile Tech Points and Ancient Tech Points to unlock the new items as quickly as possible
See you all in Sakurajima! Can't wait to fight my friends in Arena Mode.

Selecting my Tundra Buster - Palworld
The Tundra Region is primarily characterized by, obviously, Ice types. In order to maintain an advantage in the Tundra Region, you'll want to be resisting Ice damage and dealing Fire damage. Using a strong Fire type is a relatively obvious way to exploit the game's type system, and it will likely get you through the game just fine. But, if you are like me, there is something attractive about finding the truly optimal way to solve problems, and that's what I want to find the best Pal to face the Pals that spawn in the Tundra Region.

Selecting my Volcano Buster - Palworld
The Volcanic Region is primarily characterized by, obviously, Fire types. In order to maintain an advantage in the Volcanic Region, you'll want to be resisting Fire damage and dealing Water damage. Using a strong Water type is a relatively obvious way to exploit the game's type system, and it will likely get you through the game just fine. Assembling the Optimal Team - Palworld
Palworld is a relatively easy game, and "winging it" will likely get you through all but the hardest bosses. Is an Optimal Team really necessary? Well, I enjoy finding solutions to problems, and I enjoy finding optimal solutions most. I also find switching the Pals on my team very annoying, and I dislike having to level more than five Pals in order to address situations I might encounter.
I am going to be building what I consider an Optimal Team in Palworld because I enjoy doing so, and because I want to use the same five Pals for most of my game to avoid some of the things I find most inconvenient. If you want to do the same, then stick around. If you prefer making it up as you go, and seeing what works, then this might not be for you.

Mechanical Mayhem Update - LEGO Fortnite
LEGO Fortnite added vehicles in their latest update, and they are pretty awesome. With finer controls over thrusters, powered wheels that turn, and a variety of prebuilt options that scale as you gather rarer resources, this update improves the LEGO Fortnite game by a significant amount.

Knocking Down Tall Structures - LEGO Fortnite
LEGO Fortnite's physics engine is pretty good. . . most of the time. It tends to act a little funny when super tall structures are broken and allowed to fall. Here's what happened when we broke two large structures.

Cleaning up my Sandbox World with Dynamite - LEGO Fortnite
I invited a friend to my sandbox world, and he immediately started SPAMMING boulder spawners. So I asked him to clean it up, and he decided the best way to do it was with an obnoxious amount of dynamite and a frost brute. . . here are the results.

Poor Man's Airship v1.0 - LEGO Fortnite
I took some time to design the cheapest useful airship for Lego Fortnite that I could get reliably working. The "Poor Man's Airship v1.0" will allow you to travel long distances quickly and transport a number of resources while doing it, all while being cheap enough to actually make and use in early game.
Here are all the resources you'll need to build it:
- wood x44*
-- wood x15
-- wooden rod x2 (wood x1 each)
-- planks x18 (wood x1 each)
-- torch x3 (wood x3, vines x5 each)
- silk x10
-- silk fabric x2 (silk x5 each)
- vines x20
-- cord x1 (vines x5 each)
-- torch x3 (wood x3, vines x5 each)
- blast powder x4
* you'll need 2 more for building that you get back before completion, and another 3-5 for landing depending on your altitude

Building a Massive Flying Pirate Ship - LEGO Fortnite
Minimal airships are nice for survival mode, but what would be the coolest airship you could build if resources weren't an issue? A regular base that can just fly around like a big square with balloons on it? Not very stylish.
Instead, I built a massive Pirate Ship with room for all the stations and storage you'll ever need on the go, with steering and forward thrust from the command deck.
