Colin Gray, the father of the 14-year-old student accused of opening fire at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia and killing four people told law enforcement in 2023 that his son was bullied, tormented and called "gay" by his classmates, Fox News reports.
The comments were made during a police interrogation of Colin Gray after the FBI alleged his then 13-year-old son Colt Gray was behind online school shooting threats.
In the transcripts obtained by Fox News, Colin Gray told law enforcement, “Colt’s gone through a lot… it just was very difficult for him to go to school and not get picked on by, you know, it went from one thing to another to, you know, he was talking to the couple friends he has.”
Colin Gray discussed the bullying further and said he was “ridiculed,” adding “I was trying to get him on the golf team… like ‘Oh look, Colt’s gay. He’s dating that guy.’ Just ridiculed him day after day after day.”
Colt and Colin Gray both face charges in connection with Wednesday’s shooting that killed two students and two teachers. Nine other people were also wounded in the attack.
The teen is charged with murder, while his father is accused of second-degree murder for providing his son with a semi-automatic AR 15-style rifle despite knowing his son “was a threat to himself and others.”

Georgia shooting: 4 victims killed at Apalachee High School identified | LiveNOW from FOX
#livefromfox #foxnews #breakingnews #topstories #politicalnews #globalnews #worldaffairs #newsalert #republicans #biden #trumptrain #israel #freepalestine #trump #news
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has identified the four people who were killed during a shooting at Apalachee High School on Wednesday morning.
In a press briefing Wednesday night, the GBI identified the victims as Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irimie, both math teachers, and students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 years old. During an earlier news press conference, law enforcement identified the shooting suspect as 14-year-old Colt Gray, a student at the high school.
Two school resource officers encountered the shooter within minutes after a report of shots fired went out, officials said. The suspect, a student at the school, immediately surrendered and was taken into custody. He is being charged as an adult with murder. Authorities said the weapon was an assault-style rifle.
The teen had been interviewed after the FBI received anonymous tips in May 2023 about online threats to commit an unspecified school shooting, the agency said in a statement. The FBI narrowed the threats down and referred to the case to the sheriff’s department in Jackson County, which is adjacent to Barrow County. The sheriff’s office interviewed the then-13-year-old and his father, who said there were hunting guns in the house but the teen did not have unsupervised access to them. The teen also denied making any online threats. The sheriff’s office alerted local schools for continued monitoring of the teen, but there was no probable cause for arrest to additional action.
At least nine other people — eight students and one teacher — were taken to hospitals with injuries. All were expected to survive.
The school will be closed for the remainder of the week.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation named Colt Gray as the shooter. Investigator say a motive is unclear but in a join statement the FBI with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office revealed law enforcement knew about Gray for more than a year.
The FBI's National Threat Operations Center received several anonymous tips about threats Gray made online. The posts included photographs of guns and the threat to shoot up an unknown school.
The FBI brought the then 13-year-old in for questioning. "The father stated he had hunting guns in the house, but the subject did not have unsupervised access to them," the FBI wrote in a statement. "The subject denied making the threats online. Jackson County alerted local schools for continued monitoring of the subject."

Israeli troops found drawings, stuffed animals and the entrance to the terrorist tunnel where six Israeli hostages were held for more than 300 days before being executed by Hamas, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
Video of the tunnel shows Disney characters - Mickey Mouse and Snow White - painted on the wall of what appears to be a child’s bedroom with a tunnel underneath.
The IDF said the bodies of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Eden Yerushalmi, Carmel Gat, Alexander Lobanov, Almog Sarusi and Ori Danino were located last weekend in a tunnel underneath the Rafah area of Gaza. All had been killed execution-style.

BREAKING: Hunter Biden to plead guilty before tax trial, attorney says | LiveNOW from FOX
#livefromfox #foxnews #breakingnews #topstories #politicalnews #globalnews #worldaffairs #newsalert #republicans #biden #trumptrain #israel #freepalestine #trump #news
Hunter Biden plans to change his not guilty plea to avoid going to trial on federal tax evasion charges, his defense attorney said Thursday.
Defense attorney Abbe Lowell told the judge that the evidence against Hunter Biden is “overwhelming” and that the president’s son wants to resolve the case with a plea instead of going to trial for a second time just months after he was convicted of felony gun charges in a separate case.
Hunter Biden is proposing to enter what’s referred to as an Alford plea, under which a defendant does not admit guilt but acknowledges prosecutors have enough evidence to secure a conviction, Mark Geragos, another Hunter Biden attorney, said in a text message.
The Justice Department charged Hunter Biden with misdemeanor and felony charges over what prosecutors say was a four-year scheme to avoid paying at least $1.4 million in taxes while pulling in millions of dollars from foreign business entities. He is already confronting potential prison time after a Delaware jury convicted him in June of lying on a 2018 federal form to purchase a gun that he possessed for 11 days.

BREAKING: Georgia school shooting suspect mugshot released | LiveNOW from FOX
A hearing has been scheduled for the 14-year-old accused of killing 4 people and injuring 9 others during a mass shooting on Wednesday at Apalachee High School in Georgia. In addition, Colt Gray's mugshot was released on Thursday. Colt Gray will make his first appearance Sept. 6. The hearing will be held virtually. He will be tried and arraigned as an adult. He is being charged with four counts of felony murder. The autopsies of the four victims were performed Thursday at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Medical Examiner’s Office.
Gray was interviewed by law enforcement immediately after the shooting. A motive for the shooting has not been released at this time. Authorities say that Gray used an "AR-platform style weapon" during the shooting.
The FBI and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office revealed Gray was on their radar about 16 months ago, and was questioned about reported posts on an online gaming site threatening to shoot up a school. The FBI, in a joint release with JCSO, stated there was not enough evidence to charge Gray.
