AC/DC - Flick of the Switch (1983) bass cover
"Flick of the Switch" is a single by the Australian rock band AC/DC, from the album Flick of the Switch, released in 1983. It was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Brian Johnson.
It was released as a single only in certain territories, mainly Australia, Canada and the United States.
Music video
The music video for the song "Flick of the Switch" was done in a similar format to the music videos for the album Back in Black. The video shows the band playing the song inside of what was later revealed to be a closed up airplane hangar, surrounded by flight cases with the AC/DC logo painted on them. Some versions of the video start with a short clip from a rehearsal tape of the band that shows Angus practicing dance moves for his onstage striptease while one of the band members, presumably Brian Johnson, sings in the background and the rest of the band laugh. However, the video on the Family Jewels DVD removes this.
Said Malcolm Young later of the simple approach to the video, "We basically told the film crew, 'We'll be playing – you film. Walk around the band – do whatever the fuck you want. We just want it done today'."
Drummer Phil Rudd had left the band by the time the video was recorded, and his replacement Simon Wright is featured instead.
Lyrics:
Well there's a love gone down on mine
Suicidal voltage line
She sends signals outta distress
She devil, she evil
She got you reelin' on a rockin' machine
With a flick of the switch
With a flick of the switch she'll blow you sky high
With a flick of the switch
With a flick of the switch she can satisfy
She gonna blow you all sky high
Flash the eye, electrify
A power force you should feel
She devil, she evil
She got you screaming on a lightnin' machine
With a flick of the switch
Flick of the switch she'll blow you sky high
With a flick of the switch
Flick of the switch she can satisfy
Give you pain, blow your brain
Flick the switch, flick the switch
With a flick of the switch, she'll blow you sky high
With a flick of the switch, she can satisfy
With a flick of the switch, gonna burn you down
With a flick of the switch, razed to the ground
With a flick of the switch
With a flick of the switch
With a flick of the switch, she gonna give you pain
With a flick of the switch
She gonna blow your brain
Blow your brain
She gonna put the light out on you

Ronnie Milsap - Smoky Mountain Rain (1980) bass cover
"Smoky Mountain Rain" is a song written by Kye Fleming and Dennis Morgan, and recorded by American country music singer Ronnie Milsap. It was released in September 1980 as the first and only single from his Greatest Hits compilation album. The single became one of his best-known songs.
The song is a first-person narrative of a man who has left Los Angeles and returned to Knoxville, Tennessee, due to "a change of dreams." He attempts to call a woman from a phone booth, but learns that she is gone. Attempting to find her, he then gets a ride from a truck driver who is going to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Although he "can't blame her for letting go," he vows to find her "no matter what it takes." Rain is mentioned in the opening verse, in the bridge, and three times in the chorus. Milsap liked the lyrics of Elvis Presley's "Kentucky Rain" so much that "Smoky Mountain Rain" was written for him similarly, albeit with a slightly different flavor: Milsap had played piano on the recording of Presley's "Kentucky Rain" in 1969.
Lyrics:
I thumbed my way
From LA back to Knoxville
I found out those bright lights
Ain't where I belong
From a phone booth in the rain
I called to tell her
I've had a change of dreams
I'm coming home
But tears filled my eyes
When I found out she was gone
[Chorus]
Smoky Mountain rain
Keeps on falling
I keep on calling her name
Smoky Mountain rain
I'll keep on searching
I can't go on hurting this way
She's somewhere in the Smoky Mountain rain
[Verse 2]
I waved a diesel down outside a cafe
He said that he was going
As far as Gatlinburg
I climbed up in the cab
All wet and cold and lonely
I wiped my eyes
And told him about her
I've got to find her
Can you make these big wheels burn?
[Chorus]
Smoky Mountain rain
Keeps on falling
I keep on calling her name
Smoky Mountain rain
I'll keep on searching
I can't go on hurting this way
She's somewhere in the Smoky Mountain rain
[Bridge]
I can't blame her for letting go
A woman needs someone warm to hold
I feel the rain running down my face
I'll find her no matter what it takes
[Instrumental]
[Chorus]
Smoky Mountain rain
Keeps on falling
I keep on calling her name
Smoky Mountain rain
I'll keep on searching
I can't go on hurting this way
Smoky Mountain rain
Keeps on falling
I keep on calling her name

Eddie Rabbitt - Drivin' My Life Away (1980) bass cover
"Drivin' My Life Away" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Eddie Rabbitt. It was released in June 1980 as the first single from the album Horizon. The song was written by Rabbitt, Even Stevens and David Malloy.
The song is a look into the life of a truck driver and the long periods of time they spend away from home.
Although many of Rabbitt's successful songs were country-pop material, "Drivin' My Life Away" began his peak popularity as a crossover artist. The song peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, and set the stage for his biggest career hit: "I Love a Rainy Night," which reached the top on the country, Hot 100 and adult contemporary charts in early 1981. Two more crossover hits - "Step by Step" and "You and I" (the latter a duet with Crystal Gayle) - followed in 1981 and 1982.
On Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart, it was his seventh out of 17 career chart toppers, spanning from 1976 through 1990.
In 1981, "Drivin' My Life Away" was certified gold for sales of half a million units by the Recording Industry Association of America. It has also sold a further 267,000 digital copies in the US since it became available for download.
Lyrics:
Well, the midnight headlight blind you on a rainy night
Steep grade up ahead, slow me down, makin' no time
But I gotta keep rollin'
Those windshield wipers slappin' out a tempo
Keepin' perfect rhythm with the song on the radio
But I gotta keep rollin'
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a better way for me
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a sunny day
Well, the truck stop cutie comin' on to me
Tried to talk me into a ride, said I wouldn't be sorry
But she was just a baby
Hey, waitress, pour me another cup of coffee
Pop it down, jack me up, shoot me out, flyin' down the highway
Lookin' for the mornin'
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a better way for me
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a sunny day
Well, the midnight headlight blind you on a rainy night
Steep grade up ahead, slow me down, makin' no time
But I gotta keep rollin'
Those windshield wipers slappin' out a tempo
Keepin' perfect rhythm with the song on the radio
But I gotta keep rollin'
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a better way for me
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a sunny day
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a better way for me
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a sunny day, yeah
Ooh, I'm drivin' my life away
Lookin' for a better way for me

Loudness - Crazy Night (1984) bass cover
"Crazy Night" (クレイジーナイト, Kureijī Naito) (also known as "Crazy Nights") is the fourth single by Japanese heavy metal band Loudness, from their 1985 album Thunder in the East. Written by lead vocalist Minoru Niihara and guitarist Akira Takasaki and produced by Max Norman, the single was released by Nippon Columbia on December 1, 1984, in Japan and by Atco Records on November 1, 1985. The song was the band's big break in the American metal scene and has since become their signature song.
The chant of "M-Z-A!" featured in the song came about when Norman asked Niihara to come up with something to sing over the main riff between the chorus and next verse. "M-Z-A!" means nothing, and it was intended to be replaced with another line in post-production. When Niihara couldn't come up with anything to replace it, the "M-Z-A!" chant survived.
Lyrics:
You come to see the show
Well, we're going to rock and roll you
Come and get on your seat
We're going to make you feel alright
Hey, you want to go crazy tonight!
Let me hear you shout and scream
You make me mad and wild
Well, we're going to rock and pile you
We're going to do our best
The best kicks you in the head, alright
Yeah, it's going to get crazy tonight
Let me hear you all go wild
M-Z-A! M-Z-A! M-Z-A! M-Z-A!
Rock and roll crazy night
You are the heroes tonight
Rock and roll crazy night
You are the hero
You come to see the show
Well, we're going to rock and shock you
Come on get on your feet
The sound hits you in the face, alright
Oh, let's get so crazy tonight
Let me hear you rock and roll
Rock and roll crazy night
You are the heroes tonight
Rock and roll crazy night
You are the hero
Rock and roll crazy night
You are the heroes tonight
Rock and roll crazy night
You are the HERO!
M-Z-A! M-Z-A! M-Z-A! M-Z-A!

Pat Benatar - Le Bel Age (1985) bass cover
Seven the Hard Way is the sixth studio album by American singer Pat Benatar, released on October 30, 1985, by Chrysalis Records. It debuted on the US Billboard 200 for the week of December 14 and peaked at number 26, spawning the singles "Invincible", "Sex as a Weapon", and "Le Bel Age". The album has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Lyrics:
There comes a time, when you should see things clear
Free from my innocence, there is no circumstance too severe
Only the need for us, for us to believe again
There is a time, temptation's on the run
Dreamer you've had your way
Soldier you've had your day, in the sun
Now it's time, for us to begin again
Le bel age
Only our love will remain
Le bel age
Close to the truth once again
There comes a time (there comes a time)
When you must find your way
Begger has made his bed
Wrapped in a silhoutte, of gold and gray
Now it's time, yes it's time, for us to begin again
Le bel age
Only our love will remain
Le bel age
Close to the truth once again
Le bel age
Only our love will remain
Le bel age
Close to the truth once again
Standing so close to me, the possibility
To change our destiny, I see it perfectly, moving so naturally
Nothing can stand in our way
Le bel age
Only our love will remain
Le bel age
Close to the truth once again
Le bel age
Only our love will remain
Le bel age
Close to the truth once again
Le bel age
Only our love will remain
Le bel age
Close to the truth once again
Le bel age
Only our love will remain (only)
Le bel age (only our love, only our love)
Close to the truth once again
Le bel age
Only our love will remain
Le bel age
Close to the truth once again
Le bel age (Le bel age)
Le bel age

KISS - I Was Made For Lovin' You (1979) bass cover
Please like, share, subscribe
"I Was Made for Lovin' You" is a song by American hard rock band Kiss, originally released on their 1979 album, Dynasty. It was released as the A-side of their first single from the album, with "Hard Times" as the B-side.
"I Was Made for Lovin' You" draws heavily from the disco style that was popular in late-1970s United States. According to legend, the members of the band were in conflict with their producers, who wanted the band to shift to a more commercial sound. In response, the band argued that lucrative disco songs could be written by anyone in a short time frame. The story goes that the song's demo was completed in mere hours after the bet.
Lyrics:
Mmm, yeah!
Tonight, I want to give it all to you
In the darkness, there's so much I want to do
And tonight, I want to lay it at your feet
'Cause girl, I was made for you
And girl, you were made for me
I was made for lovin' you, baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you, baby
Can you get enough of me?
Tonight, I want to see it in your eyes
Feel the magic, there's something that drives me wild
And tonight, we're gonna make it all come true
'Cause girl, you were made for me
And girl, I was made for you
I was made for lovin' you, baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you, baby
Can you get enough of me?
I was made for lovin' you, baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can give it all to you, baby
Can you give it all to me?
Oh, can't get enough
I can't get enough
I can't get enough
I was made for lovin' you, baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you, baby
Can you get enough of me?
Oh, I was made
You were made
I can't get enough
No, I can't get enough
I was made for lovin' you, baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you, baby
Can you get enough of me?
