Grow Your Own Food – Protect Your Community from Tyrants
Sounds crazy, but it you were a tyrant, how could you get control of a nation.
How to lose control of your life and liberty
1. create a food shortage or make food so expensive people can't afford it
2. give it some time, let the prices rise
3. tell the people that the shortage has a solution, but we have to give more control to the government
4. wait for the us to get more and more desperate for food for us and our families
5. remind us that the problem was caused by X but the government has a solution
6. wait for us to beg for food
7. promise to fix the problem, take more control and take our liberty away
8. never fix the problem, but its too late we gave away our liberty
Is this the most likely scenario? I don't know. However there is a way to protect your community and your family.
A Real Solution without the Government
Steps to Keep Control of Your Life and Liberty
1. Grow some or part of your own food.
2. Preserve and store that food
3. Teach your neighbors to grow and preserve food
4. Help your neighbors grow and preserve food
5. Your community can thrive
Join me as I discuss how to help your community thrive in tough times.

Tour of Family Camping Area at Millpond State Park, NC
Lets walk through and take a look at every campsite in the Family Camping area. If you are trying to figure out which site to select. This might be a good start. I also take you down the connector trail from the camping area to the picnic area and lake. This isn't an exciting video at all, but if you are planning to camp at Millpond State Park then it should help you select a site. It really is a nice place to camp with campsites that are a nice distance from each other. Enjoy!

Day 2 - Building Campground
Join us to take a look at the new water lines for the yard hydrants and see the grading start to take shape.
Day 2 focused on moving the last stumps out of the way and putting in more water lines and yard hydrants (spigots). The additional yard hydrants will make it more convenient when all of the campsites are occupied. The water lines for the outdoor shower and cabin also went in.
Steps for the spring include moving the porta john down from the top of the ridge and putting in gravel for the driveway, turning loop and back in camp sites.

Win by Buying Food from Your Local Farm
Local farms work hard for customers. Local farms can provide wholesome foods. Local farms are robust and will still be there long after the food supply chain breaks down. Support your local farms, have a more self-reliant community and get wonderful fresh foods. Let’s talk about how to do this.

Shower Update - How to power your portable shower using your car battery
See how we power our portable shower when we are tent camping.
Also see our DIY washing station and storage box for valuables.
Since we wouldn't have the teardrop, we had to use an alternate way to power the 12 Vdc pump for the shower. So we used the battery on the 4Runner, which works great. The 4Runner battery has plenty of capacity to run the 10 amp shower pump for the short amount of time needed to take a shower.
Taking a shower in the evenings is a great way to feel refreshed before going to bed. Its really not an option when backpacking, but a nice perk when car camping / glamping or overlanding.
I'll also show you a simple DIY sink and countertop setup and storage box that works great if you have the room to haul it around or have a place where you can leave it permanently. We leave it at our permanent camping location and use it again and again. You could use this type of sink setup for a glamping trip as well, but you would have to haul it to your camp site. It might work well for a large gathering where you need a good way to wash dishes for a larger group.
Using a water jug like this makes it super easy for everyone to wash hands. That is very handy!
Our storage box setup is great for extra supplies and for storing higher value items when you leave the campsite.

Shower Setup and the Teardrop
Join me for a tour of the shower setup for our teardrop. This is especially helpful for camping during the Covid-19 outbreak because it means we don't have to go into the public bathrooom or shower at the campground. It also works great when we are boondocking.
The waterflow to the shower can be powered off our teardrop battery / solar or use water pressure if that is available. The water is heated by a propane powered portable water heater. We finally have propane and water storage integrated into the teardrop (thanks to Maverick Metal Works in Fuquay-Varina, NC for their help with the welding and fab).
