Volcanic Wines 🌋🤯🍷
Did you know that some of the world's most unique wines are born from the ashes of volcanoes? Volcanic wines come from vineyards planted on volcanic soils, which are created from the remains of ancient and sometimes even active volcanoes. The mineral-rich, well-drained and porous soils not only impart unique and complex flavor and aroma but also promote great vine health, making volcanic wines a standout choice for both their taste and quality.
Here are some well known volcanic wine regions around the world:
Italy: Etna (Sicily), Vesuvio (Campania)
Greece: Santorini
Spain: Canary Islands
Portugal: Azores
United States: Napa Valley (California), Willamette Valley (Oregon)
Hungary: Tokaj
France: Overnye
Argentina: Patagonia

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from Château Tour du Cauze 🍷🔔
The Saint-Émilion region is a UNESCO World Heritage site, part of the Bordeaux Wine region. Here, an array of primarily Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes blossom on sand, clay, and limestone soils. From the ancient Romans to the monk Émilion, this wine region has been cultivating full-bodied, velvety wines for centuries.
The Chateau Tour du Cauze has a dark deep red color. The nose has a medium intensity with aromas of strawberry, vanilla, and a touch of earthiness. The palate is rather short. I would rate this 87 points!🤗 For more wine videos, subscribe to my YouTube channel!

The biggest wine barrel 🤯🍷
Heidelberg Tun, in Heidelberg Castle, isn't just any barrel - standing since 1751, and it can hold 220,000 l of wine! Which means 293.000 bottles. If sold at an average price, that would be $4.4 million dollars worth of wine in one barrel. Also, to build this barrel, they needed wood from 130 big oak trees. And the fun twist: even though it was made for wine, there's a dance floor right on top of it. So visitors can dance on it until the wine runs out.

Le Comte de Mercy - 2020 Chardonnay tasting 🥂😉🇭🇺
The winery was named after a French General who helped with the repopulation of southwest Hungary. It is located in the Tolna district of the Pannon wine region. This is a lesser-known district offering rare wines, situated close to the renowned Villány wine region.
This Chardonnay is a delightful, fresh, and balanced representation of the region. It offers aromas of green apples, lemon, peach, and a hint of butteriness. I would rate this 86 points!

Let's taste the Pere Ventura Cava! 🍾🇪🇸🥂
Cava is Spain's Flagship sparkling wine style like Champagne is for France or Prosecco for Italy.
🌍 It originates from the region of Catalonia and it is made in the same Traditional method as Champagne. Meaning that the secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle. Although it is made with different local grape varieties like Macabeo, Xarel and Parellada.
🌱 These local grape varieties, the unique climate, and the soils make it different compared to champagne.
🍐 The @pereventuracava is a nice example with fine bubbles, and typical aromas of pear, apples and lime. It is a simple easy drinking wine. I would rate this 85 points. What is your favorite Cava?

The Oldest Grapevine in the Word 🤯🍇
It is located in Slovenia and is over 450 years old. Planted in the middle ages it survived countless wars and revolutions, witnessing humanity's journey from the invention of the printing press and the steam engine, right up to the present day.
It belongs to the Žametovka grape variety and it produces around 50kgs of grapes every year. This means that in its lifetime it could have produced around 24,000 bottles of wine. #grapevines #viticulture #winery #slovenia #winemaker #winelover #farm #farmer

Sparkling Wine from Luxembourg 🍾🇱🇺
When you think of European sparkling wines, Luxembourg probably isn't the first country that comes to mind. Nestled between France, Belgium, and Germany, this tiny nation is a mere two-hour drive from the Champagne wine region, sharing similar limestone-based soils. Luxembourg wines are a rare find due to their small-scale production.
The Bernard-Massard Selection, named after founder Jean-Bernard, is the most popular wine across the country.
This Chardonnay-based, traditional method sparkling wine boasts enticing aromas of pear, lemon, lime, and a hint of toastiness. It features fine bubbles and a vibrant palate with medium length. I would rate this an 85. With a $13 price tag, it's certainly a fantastic value.
