Overview of May 2024 Local Elections
Identifying Conservatives in Local Races
There are two very important local elections taking place in May. Your choices at the local level often affect you and your family even more than national races.
Meet the candidates for Montgomery County Sheriff:
- Sheriff Rand Henderson (incumbent)
- Captain Wesley Doolittle
The Sheriff Runoff Election will take place on May 28.
May 4th Uniform Election - Non-partisan elections for school boards, MUDs, city officials, and the new county appraisal board positions.
- Local boards and councils decide how much tax to collect and how that money will be spent.
- Some Municipal Utility District (MUD) boards are stacked with representation from big development companies and have little or no citizen representation.
- The May 4 Uniform Election will be voters' first opportunity to elect representatives to the Montgomery County Appraisal District Board of Directors.

Learn how God used an orphan, a prostitute, a shepherd, and a slave to do extraordinary things. These were not only ordinary, but less than ordinary people. They were in situations that looked impossible, but God used them to do mighty things.
The problems in our nation can seem overwhelming and many of us feel too small or insignificant to make a difference, but God can use each of us to advance his kingdom right where we are.
Learn specific actions you can take right in your own neighborhood to influence our culture, including:
- The church's role and how to make an impact in your church body.
- How to attend your local precinct convention and submit resolutions on issues that are important to you.
- How to become a delegate to your county and state party conventions.
- How to research your elected officials so you can vote for those who will support your values in the March 2024 Primary Election.

John Feder, Montgomery County Eagle Forum Prayer Coordinator
Betty Anderson, Montgomery County Eagle Forum President

NOTE: This was a trial run of livestreaming. We apologize for the video and sound quality issues.
About Mark Ramsey
Mark S. Ramsey, P.E., is a small government, Constitutional Conservative Activist, guided by his Christian values, who has a proven record of effective representation at all levels over several decades. He is formerly a four-term elected State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) representative of Texas Senate District 7 (North Harris County). In December 2020, Ramsey was one of 38 Texas Members of the Electoral College, where he successfully authored and passed a Resolution condemning the U.S. Supreme Court’s lack of action relating to the November election fraud.
Ramsey has chaired the Republican Party of Texas Legislative Priorities and Platform committees, as well as the SREC Resolutions committee. He has also served on the Texas Education Agency (TEA) committee and was invited by the Texas Sunset Commission to report on the TEA when it was up for review. Several of his recommendations led to language in proposed legislation.
In 2022, after an unsuccessful run for Congress (CD38), Mark Ramsey was elected as a Director of the North Harris County Regional Water Authority (NHCRWA), defeating a 23-year incumbent. The NHCRWA serves about 750,000 people, with about half actually getting part of their water from the NCHRWA. He now serves as President of the Board of Directors, with a laser focus on stopping the unsustainable rise in water rates in North Harris County while preserving quantities and quality of water available to residents.
Ramsey is a registered professional engineer, holding numerous U.S. and international patents, and has helped clients on six continents. He and his wife, Pauline, have been married for more than 40 years, and have three grown children. They worship at WoodsEdge Community Church.
