The Belgian Jeffrey Epstein: Marc Dutroux #truecrime
Dutroux 2
Marc Dutroux
We’ve all heard of this guy, and the network of evil he was a part of. But before his crimes were exposed to the world, another monster named Marc Dutroux was doing similar things in Belgium during the mid 1990s ending the lives of some of his victims. Some say he was part of a larger network that involved government officials and law enforcement.
The Belgian people heard these claims and looked at the fact that he had taken the lives of their children after he had already been convicted of abducting and doing disgusting things to 5 girls ranging from 11 to 19 years old in 1989.

Unimaginable Evil: The Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs
Today, we’re looking at a case that shocked not just Ukraine, where it occurred, but the entire world the horrific story of the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs –. Yes, I practiced saying that city name. If you find this sort of content interesting, hit the like and consider subscribing.
It's the middle of summer 2007 in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine. The country is recovering after a period of political upheaval, but things are settling down and people are enjoying the warm weather... and then they started to find battered bodies around the city and neighboring towns. Two young men, Viktor Sayenko and Igor Suprunyuck, were on a brutal spree that would claim at least 21 lives.
To understand their heinous acts and how they came to this, we need to start with their childhoods. Viktor Sayenko and Igor Suprunyuck were both born in 1988, with Igor born on April 20th sharing his birthday with a certain German dictator, a fact that seemed to make Igor proud. Growing up, they appeared to be normal kids, but by their teenage years, they began displaying disturbing behaviors. They had met in school and formed a friendship with another boy named Alexander Hanzha.
At around 14 they decided that they needed to get over their fears by facing them head on. Suprunyuk and Sayenko were afraid of heights, so they would hang off the balcony of a 14th floor apartment. When this seemed to ease their acrophobia, they began to see what else they could do. This is where they go from stupid to evil.
Hanzha was afraid of blood and he had a kitten that he was terrified he would accidentally hurt. Somehow, Suprunyuk came to the conclusion that the way to get over this would be to actually hurt animals. The boys would go after stray dogs and cats they could find and would photograph themselves posing with the bodies after they had done horrible things to them. In some of these pictures, they would draw national socialist imagery with the animals blood, along with creepy notes. 3 years after the boys had started this bizarre series of experiments, they started to victimize people. Suprunyuk and Sayenko were soon arrested for stealing a bike but they were not incarcerated because they were still minors. There are also reports of fairly brutal attacks and robberies against classmates.
After they left school, the 3 would look for work with Suprunyuk using his car to act as an illegal taxi, sort of a precursor to uber. He had been given the car by his parents, which set him apart from much of his peer group. It is said his dad was a pilot with connections in the government.
Suprunyuk would soon realize that every passenger was an opportunity to get some cash and recruited Sayenko and Hanzha to begin robbing them. But Hanzha backed out as Igor and Viktor escalated their crimes and violence. Several of their robbery victims had been severely beaten. At least one of these robberies was recorded- the robbery of a 70 year old woman who would lose sight in 1 eye and several teeth in the incident.
Now, let's fast forward to 2007. In the spring there was severe political turmoil as the president dissolved parliament then held special elections to replace them. Meanwhile, in Dnepropetrovsk, Igor Suprunyuk and Viktor Sayenko had moved past robberies and assault and started massacring people at random. On the night of June 24th, they took the life of their first known victim, 23 year old Vadim Bogdan who was a govt employee, possibly a policeman. He was bludgeoned in the town of Krillovka after accepting a ride from Suprunyuk. There was also a homicide on March 3rd that may have been part of the spree, 61 year old Viktor Gatunok who had been traveling along the highway between Dnepropetrovsk and Novomosky.
After Bogdan, the attacks came rapidly. The next day 3 people were attacked, 2 of whom did not survive. Yekaterina Ilchenko, a 33-year-old mother, was walking home from a friend's house in the Kommunar housing estate. Suprunyuk had a hammer with him and as he and Sayenko passed her on the sidewalk, he turned and attacked her from behind and bludgeoned with a hammer. Her body would remain undiscovered until early the next morning by her own mother.
Just an hour later, they struck again, ending the life of 35 year old Roman Tatarevich with a series of hammer blows to the head. He had been asleep on a bench outside a prosecutors office located a few minutes from the first crime scene. The attack had been so severe that his skull was shattered and when he was found shortly after Yekaterina he could not be identified by appearance. That night a 58 year old man named Viktor Pertsev who was beaten as well but luckily, he survived.
These senseless murders were just the beginning of a horrific spree. Over the next few weeks, Viktor and Igor's crimes continued to escalate.
On June 28th, the pair ambushed 69 year old Alexey Kovbasa. This is the most infamous of their crimes, and the whole thing was filmed and later leaked on the internet. Many articles claim the video depicts the July 12th victim, Sergei Yatzenko, however Yatzenko was riding a motorcycle while Kovbasa was ambushed while riding his biycycle through a wooded area which is what the video depicts. Suprunkyuk and Sayenko filmed the entire 8 minute ordeal including the moment they smashed him off his bike with a hammer concealed in a paper bag, showing a disturbing lack of remorse as they laughed and taunted their victim.
The brutality was extreme, the pair used a hammer to knock him off his motorcycle then dragged him into the woods and used a screwdriver to stab at his abdomen, before finally smashing his head. This prolonged torture was all caught on camera, as was Sayenko and Suprunyuks laughter. Though it is theorized that many of their attacks were filmed, this is the only one to have been leaked online. Mr. Kovbasa's body was left in the woods to be found days later.
July 1 saw the tragic deaths of high school student Yevgeniya Grishenko, and a 56 year old man named Nikolai Serchuk, in the town Novomoskovsk. Grishenko was walking with a friend, who managed to escape, while Serchuk lost his life near his home. Both victims fit the Maniacs pattern and brutal methods.
On July 6th, the terror continued- a 21 year old army recruit named Egor Nechovoloda was attacked as he walked home from a club and was found the next morning by his mother just outside their home. Around the corner from where Egors body was found a security guard named Yelena Shram was found, battered and broken. Her own sweater had been used to wipe blood from the blunt instrument that she had been struck by.
They did not stop at 2 that night, and another woman was found massacred, Valentina Hanzha was a mother of 3. Every victim was met with a blitz attack. Suprunuk and Sayenko would approach them with a hammer concealed from view.
The very next day they attacked 2 boys in who were riding their bikes to go fishing. One was able to escape, but Andrei Sidyuk was not so lucky. His friend, Vadim Lyakhov was initially arrested. Despite aggressive interrogation techniques, the boy refused to confess to having anything to do with the attack on his friend. Once investigators were satisfied of his innocence, they at last saw a the pattern of brutal crimes.
Finally they connected the series of bludgeonings, and realized that one or one pair of suspects was behind the slew of homicides. Prior to this, police had strongly asserted that the homicides in the area had been isolated incidents. Lyakhov was able to give them a description of the 2 men who had ran up on him and his friend. This was added to the case file as police began cross referencing the evidence on the prolific monsters they sought.
On July 14th, Suprunyuk and Sayenko would repeat the procedure they had used on Mr. Kovbasa. This time, it was 48 year old Sergei Yatzenko who was unlucky enough to ride by the pair on his motorcycle. His battered remains would be found 4 days later in the woods just off the side of the road that he had been traveling on.
To add a final act of disrespect, they would also attend some victims funerals and can be seen flipping the bird to gravestones in the collection of photos that police confiscated.
Around the same time as Yatsenko, they also took the life of Natalia Mamarchuk, a 45-year-old woman. She was cycling home through a wooded area in the city Diyovka when she was knocked off her bike and beaten with a hammer and metal bar. Once again, there were witnesses. 2 kids who were camping nearby saw the homicide of Mamarchuk. The description that they would give police closely resembled that given to them by Lyakhov.
In response to the vicious series of homicides, a special team was sent from Kyiv. For some reason, most of the investigation was kept secret and no official files have been released to the public. This is possibly a vestige from the days that Ukraine was under soviet control. The USSR downplayed and obscured serial homicide. They claimed it was a result of the decadence of capitalism and did their best to hide any evidence to the contrary.
This is one of the reasons the identities of many victims are unknown, but it also makes the leak of the Kovbasa video even more horrible. Authorities couldn't let the public know all the specifics of the crime spree and investigation, yet one of them was willing to release one of the most brutal videos the internet has ever seen. Horrifyingly the video spread throughout the internet, shocking the world. It is bizarre to me that this sort of video is allowed online with no penalty for the websites that host them. It's highly disrespectful to the victims
Their spree would continue until July 23, 2007 when the pair was finally arrested. They were caught when Suprunyuk tried to sell a mobile phone stolen from one of their victims for less than $30. When the pawn shop owner did the usual check with police, the phone came back to a homicide victiim. What the police found on that phone sealed the evil pair's fate – disturbing videos and photos documenting their crimes. Hanzha was also arrested arrested and can be seen in the court photographs.
One of the most disturbing aspects of their crimes is the theory that they were recording these murders to sell as snuff videos. Snuff videos are films that depict actual homicides for the entertainment of viewers. This theory arose because of the way they meticulously recorded their crimes, showing no fear of being caught. A classmate would also report that Igor had bragged about being paid for a special video to his friend, though this information comes 3rd hand. It is true that investigators believe they might have been part of an underground network that sold this horrific sort of content.
Their trial started on June 24, 2008, and it was one of the most followed cases in Ukraine. Supruyuk was charged with 21 homicides, 8 robberies, and one count of animal cruelty. Sayenko was charged with 18 homicides, 5 robberies and a count of animal cruelty. Their old friend Alexander Hanzha was charged with 2 counts of armed robbery. All 3 would confess quickly after their arrest, though Suprunkyuk would try to withdraw his. The lawyer for the victim's families, Larisa Dovgal, went after the prosecution, saying that there were many additional homicides not included and that there should be at least 5 defendants on trial not 3.
Suprunyuks lawyer made a failed attempt arguing his client was insane, and when that did not work, he resigned and a replacement was appointed. Hanzha and Sayenko plead guilty though their lawyers alleged improper police and interrogation procedures in an attempt to get evidence thrown out. These efforts failed, as did the claim by Sayenkos dad, an influential lawyer, that his son was psychologically dependent on Suprunyuk and had been lead down a dark path unwillingly. Though this was at the same time he argued that his son was innocent of the spree of homicides anyway.
The evidence was overwhelming and the defense seemed desperate. Despite hundreds of videos and photographs chronicling the young men's descent into violence and homicide, the attempted to claim the people in the photos and videos were not the defendants. At the time, it would have been near impossible to edit the videos to frame Suprunyuk and Sayenko, now with AI video generation it becomes easier every day. The defense lawyers claimed that the real culprits were allowed to walk free due to power and influence which might be the same people who the vicitms lawyers said should be on trial. In the end, they were convicted on February 11, 2009. Suprunyuk and Sayenko were found guilty for the homicides, robberies and animal cruelty and got life sentences. Alexander Hanzha was given 9 years in prison. Based on his statements, he seems to be both disgusted and terrified of his former friends. Essentially that if he had any idea of what they had been doing, he would never go near them.
In August of 2009 there was an appeal. Somehow, despite the evidence The maniacs families still claimed that they were innocent. However, it was not successful and on November 24, 2009 the sentences for Sayenko and Suprunyuk were upheld. Alexander Hanzha was released in 2019 and is said to have a wife and 2 children.
The families of the victims are still dealing with the aftermath. Experts have tried to understand what drove Viktor and Igor to such extremes, but the answers remain unclear. It seems a mix of boredom, a desire for fame, and a complete lack of empathy played a role.

Serial Killer Danny Rolling
In the summer of 1990, the peaceful college town of Gainesville, Florida, became the setting for a series of brutal attacks that would shock the nation. This is the story of Danny Rolling, the Gainesville Ripper.Danny Rolling's early life was miserable like so many of the people who end up doing what he did. Born on May 26, 1954, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Rolling endured severe physical and emotional abuse from his father, a police officer from the time he was an infant. This abuse would leave deep psychological scars that contributed to his violent tendencies. Perhaps because of her abusive husband, Danny’s mother was prone to self harm.By the age of 15, Rolling was already showing signs of instability. He struggled with addiction and spent time in and out of jail for various offenses, including robbery and peeping into women’s houses. But it was in late 1989 that his darkest impulses would manifest in the most horrifying way.
In the mean time, he joined the Air Force in 1971, though he would spend just a year in the service. Rolling had begun to use narcotics and other substances, which led him to get demoted and eventually given an honorable discharge citing a personality disorder which seems quite generous.
A year later, he was married to a young woman, who he would have a daughter with. For a while it seemed like he had turned the corner, working multiple jobs to support his wife and child. But the strain wore him down and as he started drinking and smoking more and more he became increasingly erratic and violent. After just 4 years they would divorce and Danny began committing robberies which would eventually land him in prison more than once until his final release before his Gainesville crime spree in 1988.Rolling had a reputation for being unsettling. One woman named Cindy Juracich said he often made disturbing statements and he had even told her husband that he liked to stick knifes in people. Perhaps this was shortly before or after what he did to the Grissom family on November 4th 1989.
Tom Grissom, his daughter Julie, and grandson Sean getting ready for dinner when an intruder forced his way into their home and attacked them. Neighbors would find a horrific display of violence when they went to check on the Grissoms the following day. Tom was slumped against the laundry room door, with several stab wounds to the back and chest. Young Sean was stabbed once in the back with such force that the blade came out of his chest.
The attacker had spent more time with Julie, she was found in the bedroom. The assailant had stabbed her 3 times in the back, but laid her face up on the bed. Bizarrely, he had also wiped Julie’s body down with vinegar before fleeing the scene. These were the first known victims of Danny Rolling and he would soon travel to Gainesville, he had told acquaintances that "'One day, I'm going to leave this town and I'm going to go where the girls are beautiful and I can just lay in the sun and watch beautiful women all day'".
Rolling made a camp in the woods in Gainesville, near the student housing. He would his time spend time recording music he wrote and committing various robberies and thefts around the area. But his darker impulses would soon take control and he would use the woods to approach his targets homes, entering through the backdoor unseen from the street.
In the early hours of August 24, 1990, Rolling broke into the apartment of 17-year-old university student Sonja Larson and her roommate, 18-year-old Christina Powell. Armed with a ka-bar knife and a pistol, he broke in and brutally attacked them. He crept in and saw Christina asleep on the couch and briefly watched her before he went upstairs where Sonja was asleep in her bedroom. Rolling actually debated for a moment which of the 2 girls he preferred, he chose Christina.
He attacked, slapping duct tape over Sonjas mouth then stuck her with the 10 inch fighting knife. She instantly woke up and began fighting for her life receiving wounds to her arms and thigh which caused her to lose consciousness in roughly one minute. Somehow Rolling was able to keep the tape over Sonjas mouth and Christina was still asleep downstairs who he then approached. Once again he slapped duct tape over her mouth then taped her hands behind her back.
Rolling then mistreated Christina in the worst possible ways, before eventually having her lay facedown and plunging his knife into her back 5 times. Before he left the apartment, Rolling posed the bodies into graphic positions to shock whoever found them and add one final bit of disrespect.
The next night, Rolling struck again. This time, his victim was 18-year-old Christa Hoyt whom he had watched through the windows days earlier. On August he broke into her apartment just 2 miles from the scene of the first attack. Using a screwdriver to pry open a sliding door,Danny waited in the apartment for Hoyt to return home. When she walked in he ambushed her with his weapons and taped her mouth and hands then forced her into the bedroom.
After violating Christa, Rolling would follow the same procedure as he had with Christina, destroying her aorta. Once again Rolling would pose his victim, but he also removed her head and put it on a shelf, before retreating back to his hideout in the woods.
Two days later, at 3AM on August 27, Rolling targeted Tracy Paules and Manny Taboada, both 23 years old. Breaking into their apartment, Rolling entered Taboada’s bedroom first, and stuck him in the chest with his ka-bar. Manny jolted away and began to try to fight off his attacker, receiving wounds to his face, arms, and legs. Tracy, hearing the commotion, tried to barricade herself in her room, but Rolling was able to break through her door. She met the same fate as the prior victims and was left in a horrifying pose.
The community was gripped by fear. Students fled the town, and police worked around the clock to catch the killer. But somehow, Danny Rolling evaded capture, and leaving behind little evidence at the crime scenes.
On September 7, 1990, Rolling was arrested, but not for the homicides. He was caught during a botched burglary in Ocala, Florida. It wasn't until January 1991 that investigators linked him to the Gainesville crimes through DNA evidence found at the crime scenes.
Rolling's trial began in 1994. He initially pled not guilty but later changed his plea to guilty, sparing the victims' families from a lengthy trial. In a shocking confession, Rolling revealed details of the homicides, claiming he was driven by an alter ego named "Gemini." 2 Psychiatrists would testify that Rolling did have a severe personality disorder, but that he was fully aware of what he was doing.
On April 20, 1994, Danny Rolling was sentenced to death for the five Gainesville murders. He spent the next 12 years on death row, during which he confessed to additional murders, including the triple homicide of the Grissom family in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1989.
On October 25, 2006, Danny Rolling was executed by lethal injection. His last meal was lobster tail, shrimp and strawberry shortcake, washing it down with sweet tea. He would also sing a gospel hymn before being put to death. The Gainesville community could finally begin to heal, but the scars left by his heinous acts would never fully fade and would go on to inspire the Scream movie series.

The Doodler Serial Killer
In the heart of San Francisco, a sinister presence lurked in the shadows, preying on the unsuspecting. This is the chilling story of the 'Doodler' – a serial killer who terrorized the city in the 1970s. It began on January 27, 1974, when the body of Gerald Cavanaugh was discovered on Ocean Beach. He had been brutally stabbed to death. Cavanaugh was the first known victim of the 'Doodler,' named for his habit of sketching his victims before attacking them. The Doodler's modus operandi was as unique as it was terrifying. He would approach men in bars and nightclubs, often in the Castro District, and offer to draw their portraits. Once he gained their trust, he would lure them to secluded areas and attack. Over the next two years, the Doodler claimed at least five more lives. Joseph Stevens, a popular drag performer, was found dead on June 25, 1974. Klaus Christmann, a German immigrant, was discovered on July 7, 1974. The body count continued to rise, each murder more brazen than the last. Despite multiple witnesses and a composite sketch of the suspect, the police struggled to make progress. The killer's elusive nature and the social stigma surrounding the victims, many of whom were gay, hindered the investigation. We believe the suspect to be a man in his mid-twenties, approximately 6 feet tall, with a slim build. He frequents bars and nightclubs in the Castro District. But the Doodler was never caught. The case went cold, and the killer vanished into the fog of San Francisco, leaving behind a trail of unanswered questions and shattered lives. Decades later, the case remains unsolved. Advances in forensic technology offer hope, but the identity of the Doodler continues to elude authorities. The families of the victims still seek closure, haunted by the memory of a killer who was never brought to justice. As we remember the victims of the Doodler, we honor their lives and the vibrant community they were a part of. Their stories remind us of the importance of perseverance in the pursuit of justice. Thank you for watching. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more true crime stories. Stay safe, and be vigilant.

Minute of Murder- The Arizona Serial Shooters
In the summer of 2005, Phoenix, Arizona, was gripped with fear as a pair of serial shooters targeted innocent victims at random.
Dale Hausner and Samuel Dieteman, armed with a .22 caliber rifle, cruised the streets, seeking out their next targets. They attacked pedestrians, cyclists, and even animals, leaving a trail of terror in their wake.
July 2005 marked the start of their violent spree. Over the next year, they killed 8 people and wounded at least 19 others.
Their reign of terror ended on August 3, 2006, when they were arrested following a tip from an acquaintance. The police uncovered their weapons and other evidence linking them to the shootings.
In 2009, Dale Hausner was sentenced to death and later died by suicide in prison. Samuel Dieteman received a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Though justice was served, the scars left on the community of Phoenix remain. The Arizona Serial Shooters' case is a chilling reminder of how random violence can shatter lives.

Minute of Murder: Robert Ben Rhoades
Throughout the 1980s, long-haul trucker Robert Ben Rhoades terrorized America's highways. Known as 'The Truck Stop Killer,' Rhoades preyed on hitchhikers and runaways, operating primarily out of his modified truck, which he had turned into a torture chamber on wheels. In February 1990, a girl named Regina Kay Walters disappeared. Her last moments were horrifyingly captured by Rhoades in a series of disturbing photographs. On April 1, 1990, Rhoades was finally arrested. An Arizona State Trooper discovered a handcuffed woman in his truck, leading to his arrest." Rhoades' truck contained chilling evidence of his crimes: fish hooks, handcuffs, and torture devices, personal belongings of victims, and his horrific photos. He was eventually linked to as many as 50 murders across several states. In 1994, he was convicted of the homicide of Regina Kay Walters and 2 more in 2012. Robert Ben Rhoades is serving life without parole in Illinois, and the full extent of his crimes might never come to light.

Serial Killer Robert Willy Pickton
Robert William Pickton was born on October 24, 1949, in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. Raised on the family pig farm alongside his brother and sister, Robert's early life was marked by hard labor and isolation. Their mother woul often send them to school in filthy clothes from working on their farm which led Robert to be called Stinky Piggy by his peers. Despite his mothers domineering nature and indiffernce to her childrens hygiene young robert was close to her, perhaps to have a defender from his abusive dad.
The Picktons were a strange family and kept to themselves mostly. The kids were often dirty and smelled of pigs. Robert, especially, was said to be quiet, always off in his own world. He struggled in school and after failing the second grade was moved to a special needs class. At home, the harsh reality of living on a farm took its toll when at 12 a calf that he had taken special care of and thought of as a pet, was butchered for meat while he was at school.
In 1963, when he was 14, Pickton dropped out of school and began working as a meat cutter, which he would do for 7 years before leaving to work at the family farm full time.
The farm was a harsh environment, with Robert and his siblings often neglected and left to fend for themselves. The passing of their father in 1978 and their mother in 1979 only deepened Robert's reclusiveness. As he grew older, the farm became a magnet for outcasts and drifters, setting the stage for the horrors that would later unfold.
In the 1990s, the Pickton brothers took advantage of the increased traffic and transformed part of their farm into a party venue known as the Piggy Palace that was granted non-profit status. Here, they hosted raucous events that drew crowds from all walks of life, including many of Vancouver's most vulnerable citizens.
The Piggy Palace became infamous. It was a place where people went to let loose, often attracting those living on the margins of society. It wasn't long before women, particularly sex workers from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, began to disappear after attending the wild parties.
Between 1997 and 2001, the number of disappearances continued to grow. Vulnerable women were lured to the farm, never to be seen again with the promise of money or narcotics. The police were slow to act, often dismissing the missing women due to their lifestyles.
Making matters worse, is that prior to his eventual arrest for homicide, Pickton would be arrested for attacking a woman named Wendy Lynn Estetter with a knife in March of 1997. However, because of her issues with addiction, Wendy was not considered a credible witness and the charges against him were stayed. This indifference to her claims foreshadows the eventual horrors that would take place in the following years.
The methods used by Pickton were brutal, typically they were either strangled or dispatched with a knife. Their remains were then put through a woodchipper and then fed to his pigs or send with animal parts to a nearby rendering plant. One of the most horrifying aspects would come out in 2004, the health minister would issue a warning to the area that he may have also mixed human meat with pork that was sold to the public.
Among the dozens of victims, six women stood out in the trial that ultimately convicted Robert Pickton. Their lives, though tragically cut short, are remembered by their families and the community.
Marnie Frey, born on August 28, 1973 in Campbell River, and spent a good portion of her childhood camping and fishing with her dad. Unforunately, she fell into addiction and left high school in the 11th grade. At 19 she had a daughter and she did whatever she could to earn money on the streets of Vancouver. She was last seen in August 1997, her family left to wonder what had happened to her for years. When police finally raided Pickton's farm, her DNA was found on a woodchipper and her jawbone and some teeth were the only pieces of her found intact.
Brenda Wolfe was born on December 25, 1957 in Lethbridge. Her vice was alcohol and her dependence stemmed in part from abuse she suffered at the hands of her fathers family. Drifting to Vancouver in 1996, Brenda worked as a waitress and bouncer at the Balmoral Hotel but continued to have problems as her common law husband also mistreated her. Brenda vanished in February 1999. A partial skull and some bone fragments were all that was recovered.
Georgina Papin, born on March 11, 1964 in Edmonton, was a devoted mother of seven children. Her family described her as a fighter who loved her children deeply, but who fell on hard times after cancer and addiction ravaged her life. She disappeared in March 1999 and some pieces of bone and teeth were found on Picktons farm 3 years later in 2002.
Andrea Joesbury, born on August 28, 1978 and grew up in Victoria. At 16 she ran away from home and lived in Vancouver's eastside with her boyfriend and the father of her child who was 20 years older than her. At the time of her disappearance, she was enrolled in a methadone program in an attend to get her life back on track and regularly spoke with her family by phone. Andrea was last seen in June 2001 and the only thing that was recovered from the farm was some pieces of bone.
Sereena Abotsway was born on August 19, 1971. Despite a tumultuous childhood in the foster care system starting at just 4 years old, she was known for her resilience and kindness. As an adult her hardship continued and she succumbed to addiction as so many of Pickton's victims which made it easy for the monster to lure her out to his farm. Sereena was last seen in August 2001 and the only parts of her that would be recovered were a piece of her jawbone and other small fragments.
Mona Wilson, born on January 13, 1975 in Kelowna. She moved with her mother to Vancouver when she was young, but was soon placed into foster care after her mother's boyfriend mistreated her. Mona dropped out of school in the 9th grade, and struggling with addiction she would earn money however she could sometimes washing car windows with her common law husband and at other times would earn money through darker means. She disappeared in November 2001 and a year later some partial skeleton remains were tested and came back as a match when the farm was raided.
In 1999, the Piggy Palace lost its non-profit status after Pickton failed to submit financial statements and was shut down. Authorities had already been suspicious of the illegal goings on at the farm and in February 2002, an intensive investigation finally brought the Pickton farm into the public spotlight. Acting on a search warrant related to illegal firearms, authorities uncovered evidence that pointed to something far more sinister possibly linking Pickton to the large number of missing women in the region.
There were personal items belonging to many of the missing women, and later, DNA evidence confirmed our worst fears. Robert Pickton had been systematically taking womens lives and disposing of their bodies on the farm.
The investigation revealed that Pickton had confessed to an undercover officer while he was behind bars, boasting that he had killed 49 women and planned to make it an even 50. Investigators found DNA from 80 different people on the farm indicating the number may have already passed 50. In December 2007, he was charged with 26 counts of homicide, but he was only convicted of six counts of second-degree murder while the other 20 were stayed as it would put an undue hardship on the jury which is a first for me. Pickton was sentenced to life with parole possible after 25 years which was the harshest sentence for these charges, though he is believed to be responsible for many more deaths.
During the investigation and trial more truly horrific stuff would come out that was found on the farm or told to investigators by acquaintances. A good example is the .22 revolver that was found that had an adult toy on the barrel with a single round fired. Pickton would claim the latex unit was a silencer but the truth is likely much more sinister and due to the way revolvers are designed an actual suppressor would be ineffective. A syringe was found that was filled with a blue liquid. Robert had told a friend that opiate addicts could be easily dispatched by injecting them with cleaning products and this could have been what he had used to do so. It seems like his depravity knew no limits and even if he had not sold human flesh as pork the fact that he fed his victims to his pigs taints any meat from the farm in the most disturbing way possible.
The aftermath of Pickton's crimes left a community shattered and grieving. Memorials and vigils for the victims became places of mourning and reflection, highlighting the tragic loss and the systemic failures that allowed such atrocities to occur.
Today, the Pickton farm stands as a haunting reminder of the evil that can lurk in the most unassuming places. The legacy of Robert Pickton is a dark stain on Canadian history, a tale of unimaginable horror, and a somber reflection on the vulnerability of the human condition.
But the story might not be over, in 2024 Pickton became eligible for day parole though it has not been granted, and some Canadian politicians are pushing for a change to the law so that sentences can be run consecutive in cases such as Pickton's. Under the current laws, he will be eligible to apply for full parole in 2027, 25 years after his 2002 arrest which is unthinkable after what he has done.
And it seems that the other inmates agree, in May of 2024, the 74 year old was attacked at the Port-Cartier facility by a 51 year old inmate and had to be put on life support. At the time of writing, Pickton was in a coma at a a Quebec hospital. True Crime, Crime, Evil, Canada, Serial Killer, True crime Documentary

Minute of Murder- 3 Guys 1 Hammer Backstory
Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs
One of the most brutal and horrible videos online has become known to the world as 3 guys 1 hammer, but who would commit and film such a vicious act? The video shows a man being struck with a hammer then savaged with a screwdriver in a wooded area. The background of the attack makes it even more gut wrenching. It was just just one in a series of crimes perpetrated by 2 young men in Dnepropetrosk, Ukraine's 4th largest city over less than a month in 2007. Viktor Sayenko and Igor Suprunyuk’s rampage would claim 21 lives. Their criminal behavior had been escalating for years supposedly as a bizarre method of overcoming their fears. But the truth is more likely that they were weak people lashing out to feel less helpless and pathetic. They would typically bludgeon their victims with a hammer or metal pipe then in some cases gouge their eyes out recording some of these horrific and sadistic acts of violence. They were caught when a cell phone stolen from a victim was reported to police by a pawn shop and sentenced to life in prison.
