This week on the pod Taylor starts us off with her views on Hulu’s latest dramatized true crime series, Candy, starring Jessica Beal. She then takes us on a wild ride to Orange County California to discuss the latest installment from The Real Housewives. Next, she darkens the mood up again with HBO Max’s latest dramatized true crime, The Staircase, starring Collin Firth. She then finishes off her MindGrapes with a huge shout out to the film we have been waiting 2 years to see, Top Gun!
Trending on Trent’s MindGrapes this week was Moonknight starring Oscar Isaac, We Own the City starring Jon Bernthal, and The Offer starring Miles Teller.
Finally, Clark’s MindGrapes batted cleanup with The Lost City starring Channing Tatum & Sandra Bullock, Shining Girls starring Elizabeth Moss, Operation Mincemeat starring Colin Firth, and The Big Conn – a documentary about Eric Conn.

Big news this week. Taylor was UpMindGraded from an A- to an A. On the MindGrapes app, everyone starts off with an F- and it actually takes a while to get to an A. Unless you invite all of your friends. Then someone can achieve an A relatively quickly.
This week on Taylor’s MindGrapes, she started us off with Selling Sunset. She submits that the show has centered around Chrishell and Jason Oppenheim. Trent and Clark quickly jumped in to discuss the riches to riches story of the Oppenheim brothers. It is just nice to know that 2 real estate heirs can still stay rich in the U.S. Next, she discussed “Under the Banner of Heaven” starring Andrew Garfield and “Anatomy of Scandal.”
This week on Trent’s MindGrapes, he finally finished “Severance” on AppleTV starring Adam Scott in which he has a titillating conspiracy theory about the activities of Lumin Industries. BTW, if you haven’t seen “Severance”, you are really missing out on a great show. Trent also started “We Own this City” on HBOMax, which seems like a modern-day version of “The Wire.” Finally, he finished “Moonknight.”
This week Clark’s MindGrapes were very boring. He is excited about some movies out this week like “Shining Girl” on AppleTV starring Elizabeth Moss who is a Scientologist! He also discussed the new HBOMax boxing movie starting Ben Foster called “The Survivor.” Lastly, Clark plugged some of his #men_like_rose_too shows “Below Deck” and “Summer House.” Moreover, Clark and Trent enjoyed a beverage started by Kyle, one of the stars of “Summer House”, Loverboy.

Taylor’s MindGrapes
The new season of the Kardashians is out on Hulu and Taylor believes it is better than the original. Although she is alone in loving the show, there is mutual respect among the MindGrapes Pod Hosts that Kim is way richer than all of us. Also, there is a general appreciation that she remains apolitical in an environment that cannot seem to talk about anything else. One of the few tangents this episode was our discussion of Pete Davidson. He must be incredibly charming, but Clark remains perplexed as to how he has made money in comedy.
The Flight Attendant with animal rescuer Kaley Cuoco is Taylor’s favorite thing on TV right now.
Finally, the new season of Selling Sunset is out and determined to make everyone who watches it feel bad about not being model hot and a real estate agent. Selling Sunset is the ultimate reality gig. With almost no production value, these people are able to make more money on top of their already insane fortunes via Netflix.
Trent’s MindGrapes
Severance, Halo, MoonKnight, and Tony Hawk. Since we have traveled into each one of these shows, we did not spend too much time discussing them.
We did dive into the new Batman. Trent gave it a thumbs up and he was intrigued. While Blair was not with us today, he texted, “2 words: Christian Bale…
That’s it. That’s the end.
Besides the grunge personality “Batman” that Robert pat brings in this new Batman, I think the movie did a good job going back to comic origins of Batman being somewhat of a detective. It was less about the gadgets and cool explosive tech and more about the greater cause. I think that’s what made the Dark Knight so great, but I may have a bias for Christopher Nolan movies.
I’m being harsh by giving it a thumbs down, but it is encouraging that the Batman franchise is keeping it interesting by evolving the character and the storyline.
Also side note. Colin Ferrell as the Penguin.. like whatttt?”
Clark’s MindGrapes
The Thing About Pam deserved many thumbs. That was an incredible show and Rene Zellweger was amazing. A gripping and incredibly dark story that kind of remained light. It’s hard to explain but it was phenomenal.
White Hot The Rise and Fall of A&F was trash. A bunch of nonexperts whining about the cool kids club. Sadly no one seems to understand the twisted paradox of “inclusivity.”

Clark Cave and Trent Reece sat down this week with Taylor Cave for the Seventh Episode of the MindGrapes Podcast. As always, guests go first and Taylor got right into Netflix’s Ultimatum, which took up most of the discussion. Next, Taylor mentioned the new Rene Zellweger series about a Missouri murderer named Pam Hupp. Incredibly bingeworthy series on Peacock. In her segment a similar series starring Jessica Biel called “Candy” was mentioned.
It's important to note that we spent a very long time on Netflix’s “The Ultimatum”.
This week on Trent’s MindGrapes was Metal Lords, Coda, and the most exciting news of the week, the fact that the new Batman is coming out on HBOMAX!!! Trent and Clark may or may not have admitted to crying like babies watching “Coda” as well.
Finally, on Clark’s MindGrapes, Netflix’s documentary about Boeing, “The Passion” because it’s Easter, and Clark won’t shut up about Severance!

This week on the MindGrapes Podcast, Clark, Trent, and Blair sat down to discuss something other than the Will Smith | Chris Rock controversy.
This week, Blair’s MindGrapes was ‘WeCrashed’, the story about the famed unicorn entrepreneur Adam Neuman, who effectively gained a $46 billion valuation by defrauding investors. ‘WeCrashed’ stars Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway. Blair also gave ‘DMZ’ a thumbs down. He said Rosario Dawson’s acting was great, but the plot seemed derivative of ‘Warriors’ and ‘Escape from New York.’
Trent welcomed the newest member of the MindGrapes community this week, so he spent his hospital stay catching up on Ted Lasso, starring Jason Sudeikis. While Trent is a year behind the rest of the universe, we are glad he was able to experience the joys of Season 1 and the slow grinding disappointment of season 2. Perhaps 1 season was enough.
Trent gave ‘Boba Fett’ a thumbs down. On the other hand, he said ‘Mandalorian’ was one of the best series on Disney+.
Also, the new Disney+ Mickey Mouse adaptation is not safe for 2-year-olds.
Scandal Alert: We discussed the history of MindGrades and its future.
Trent and Blair are also very excited about ‘Ambulance’, the new Michael Bay film starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Eliza Gonzalez. Trent posited that ‘Ambulance’ might be like ‘Night Crawler’, which spawned a new tangent about ‘Nocturnal Animals’ and ‘Donnie Darko.’
On Clark’s MindGrapes this week, he discusses ‘The Bubble,’ which is a Judd Apatow film starring Karen Gillan, Fred Armisen, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Kate McKinnon, Pedro Pascal, and many others. While Clark postulated that there was likely no script, just a series of improvisations, it was hilarious.
Clark also highly recommends ‘Moon Knight’ on Disney+ and ‘Severance’ on AppleTV+. Both are incredible.
On the other hand, Clark gave ‘Trust No One’ and ‘Byron Baes’ on Netflix a thumbs down. However, that had more to do with taste than the actual content.

This week on the Podcast we were joined by our fellow Army brother, @blair_boler. We kicked off “What’s on your MindGrapes?” with Blair who is currently binging ‘Bridgerton’. When asked what he most recently disliked, he gave Sweet Girl starring Jason Momoa and Isabela Merced.
@trent_reece broke down his theories on Paramount+’s ‘Halo’, a series based on a world-famous video game. The highlight of today’s discussion was on ‘WeCrashed’, a series starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway about the founder of the company WeWork who effectively embezzled over $1 billion the company. Trent gave Netflix’s newest ‘Windfall’ starring Jason Segel, Lily Collins, and Jesse Plemons a thumbs down. It looked so good…
@clark_cave merged a pre-show discussion into the show referencing Netflix’s ‘Don’t Look Up’ starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. While there were mixed feelings, there were pros and cons to that title. Clark also mentioned Amy Schumer’s latest series ‘Life and Beth’.
Finally, on the way out, Netflix’s ‘Adam Project’ received unanimous appreciation and all of us have AppleTV+’s ‘Severance’ and Netflix’s ‘Downfall- The Case Against Boeing’ on our watchlists.
