Another Look at Song of Songs
The writings of a visitor among Syrian tribes near Damascus in the late 19th century took me to the Song again today. The old Syrian wedding customs reflect those of Solomon's day. The bride and groom became "king and queen for a week"--sounds like the events following Christ's return!

Jerusalem and the Prince of Persia
When the temple began to be rebuilt by the released exiles in 538 B.C., the Prince of Persia was not happy. Daniel's experiences in Persia reveal the war in the spirit over Jerusalem--the war which continues to this day.

Sing! Part Two
Continuing with the song of Deborah, an exquisite song of praise and prophecy of the Great Day of the Lord, recorded in Judges 5, we see that Deborah was in the habit of singing. Her lifestyle enabled her to be fearless; I believe this is the reason she called Israel to go to battle against their enemies at a time when fear reigned over the land.

Singing--The Weapon for Our Day
The saints of God are shown triumphant in the face of adversity--over and over in Scripture. I recommend singing as the proper response to God's goodness and also the avenue to the prophetic in difficult times.

the Best Is Yet to Come!
Encouragement for all of us who may have fear about what's coming upon the earth. Good news! Even if we're here for the Great Day of the Lord, the terrible day (Joel 2:11), HE will be our shelter. His presence is already drawing us in.

Rapture?
Many think we will be "raptured out" before any trouble, i.e. before the man of lawlessness, or "beast", as he's called in the book of Revelation, appears. Many say, because of I Thessalonians 5:9, that we will not be around to see the judgments of God on the earth. Shouldn't we be prepared in case that's wrong?

Psa. 46/ Tottering Kingdoms 2/28/22
God said there would be a time when kingdoms would shift, deviate from their right course, shake. Kingdoms are re-positioning themselves. Re-alignments are happening. God, "our refuge", is higher than any of it. "Refuge" in this Psalm means a place that is "inaccessible".

Magog Is Not Russia, #2, 2/25/22
Major Bible Dictionaries and commentaries place Magog in ancient Turkey. Almost all Japheth's sons' families end up in this same area, as do Magog, Tubal and Meshech.

Gog and Magog Are Not Russia
Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, was ruler of the ancient kingdom of Lydia, in modern-day Turkey. Ezekiel prophesied in the 6th and 7th century B.C.E., just a few centuries after the heydey of Tubal and Meshech, both located in west central Turkey.

Armageddon--Where Is It?
Because there is no actual mountain in the Plain of Megiddo, and because all the Hebrew prophets' writings have the final battle for the earth at Jerusalem, the translation of "mountain of Megiddo" for Revelation 16:16 cannot be correct. Here's why.

God Thinks About Us
From Psalm 139, His thoughts are more about me than all the grains of sand on all the beaches of the earth. This word in Hebrew is from the root, "companion, associate", and even, "purpose, aim". We are in God's thoughts to the extent that we are even His purpose.

Our Words Matter
In our call to "pursue peace with all people" we speak blessing over even those with whom we disagree. The writer of Hebrews here (12:14-15) does not say to submit to tyranny, but to seek to bless individuals who may be trapped in sin. We bless with our tongues, not curse.

The Beast of Revelation Is A King, Not "Human Nature"
Revelation is not unlike any other record of the visions of prophets. Isaiah saw creatures, Daniel saw beasts, Daniel interpreted a tree as a king . . . we could go on and on. Revelation is to be read like any other prophetic book: with a heart to understand and interpret it according to what He has revealed already to His servants the prophets. Here, I take Rev. 17 and show four characteristics of this dominant evil figure shown to the apostle John to show that it's impossible for the "beast" to be a "system" or any other non-human entity.

Are You A "Statist"?
Americans have been, unfortunately, schooled in Statism over the last 50 years. Those who have fallen for this belief system think that the State has the last say and is to be obeyed no matter what. This is totally contrary to the fact that ALL authority is given by God. Those who leave God out of their governing cannot have my submission.

Israel's Importance, Part 2, Dec.5, 2021
Second part of "Israel's Importance". Here I give Scriptures which seem to describe the activities of the people of the Jews when they are forced to go into hiding to save themselves from the tyranny on the earth in the last days.

Israel's Importance, Part 1, Dec. 5, 2021
Those who believe we are in the 1,000-year reign of Christ on earth now must deny the reality of prophetic Scripture over and over again. There is coming an actual day when the Lord Jesus Christ will physically appear on the earth and destroy the enemies of His people. He has not forgotten His covenant with Israel--or else, how can I believe He will not forget His covenant with me?
