Guided meditation for gratitude, thanksgiving, happiness & well-being, appreciate life
As I write, Thanksgiving is just around the corner and I felt compelled to record a new gratitude meditation.
Gratitude is a practise that’s been done for thousands of years by many different people, including yogis, Buddhist monks, and native American elders.
Research has shown that practising a gratitude meditation can bring almost-immediate benefits that lead to increased levels of well-being and happiness. Practising regularly can have incredible benefits such as decreased levels of depression, higher levels of well-being, it improves our relationships, allows us to trust others more, even increases our sleep quality.
Find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed with either a comfortable chair to sit in, bed or mat to lie on. Make sure you are warm enough as the body will cool down quickly as it relaxes.

I've been watching the SpaceX launch videos lately and have been blown away by the beauty of space and the incredible feats of engineering that has taken us humans there. Meditation for insomnia. Fall asleep easily and deeply tonight (black screen)
Do you have trouble getting to sleep? Do you suffer with insomnia? If so, this
meditation can help you find a deep, restful sleep quickly and easily. You'll wake up feeling refreshed and renewed!
At the end my voice and the music will very gradually fade away leaving you to drift off into a deep dream state. The screen remains black throughout so that you are not disturbed by the light.

"Mind the Gap" - Gap Meditation
In this session, we will explore the concept of the "gap". The space between breaths, between thoughts where there is nothing but blankness.
Thoughts are almost constantly with us and can add a lot of burden, worry, fear, and stress to our mental state. If we can cultivate more inner silence, we are able to let those thoughts go and just be in the present moment. One way of developing inner silence is to recognise the space between thoughts and breath and to sit within them.
Eckhart Tolle says "In the first moment of seeing something or hearing a sound -- and more so if it is unfamiliar -- before the mind names or interprets what you see or hear there is usually a gap of alert attention in which the perception occurs. That is the inner space. Its duration differs from person to person. It is easy to miss because in many people those spaces are extremely short, perhaps only a second or less.
This is what happens: a new sight or sound arises, and in the first moment of perception, there is a brief cessation in the habitual stream of thinking.
Consciousness is diverted away from thought because it is required for sense perception. A very unusual sight or sound may leave you "speechless" -- even inside, that is to say, bring about a longer gap."
I'm going to help you find and bathe in your gaps in this meditation. I will leave you before it ends so that you may not be distracted by my voice.

Meditation is the practice of calming the mind and reducing the number of thoughts that pass through it. Meditation to reduce stress
This short guided meditation uses breathing techniques and a snow globe visualisation to help reduce stress.
If you're feeling any kind of negative emotions, this meditation can help you overcome those and feel better. You can use this technique any time you feel anxious, panicky or fearful.
Deep belly breathing, or diaphragmatic breathing stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which is part of the peripheral nervous system responsible for regulating heartbeat, blood flow, breathing, and digestion. Deep breathing helps you to lower the amount of cortisol in the body – the stress hormone that triggers the "fight-or-flight" response in mentally or physically terrifying situations. It's sometimes known as the "relaxation response".
