Orchestrated by David Loucks (~1984) and Allan Loucks (1998).
NOTE: The score was incomplete, as the work was unfinished. There was space for a vocal part, but only a fragment was written in at the end. The 'choir' on the recording sings this part.
Allan also filled in a few parts, using variations of themes from the work:
1) the left hand in the piano part during the piano break.
2) the woodwind lines during the slow middle section.
Because the score was incomplete, existing parts were emphasized/de-emphasized according to their respective 'melodic strength', and instead of using the original 'rock band' orchestration of
guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, it was orchestrated for full symphony orchestra and rock band.
The guitar part was re-distributed mostly to the violins, a few parts to the keyboards. Some of the keyboard parts were re-distributed to the violas, cellos, brass, woodwinds. The bass pedal parts are played by the bass section.
The percussion parts were created from what Robert Geddes could remember David telling him, as well as indications on the score. A few of the percussion parts were extrapolations by Allan and Robert, making educated guesses of what David probably would have wanted.
