ZENITHAL IN COLOR | Miniature Priming Technique
So, if you use speedpaint or contrast paints, you've likely adopted zenithal priming, the are of priming in black, grey, and white, in order to simulate natural shadows, mid-tone, and highlights, as the foundation for your translucent paints. You've probably also heard this entire routine referred to as slap chop, which is how I often refer to it. Well now get ready for the next evolution in this process, ZENITHAL WITH COLORED PRIMERS.

HAPPY LITTLE BEACH VILLAGE | Everdell Farshore
Here's a quick little look at Everdell and the new Everdell Farshore, which we grabbed at GenCon 2024. If you've seen the new MTG set Bloomburrow and thought "I'd like that in a highly rated and highly expandable worker placement board game..." well have I got news for you.

Mothership | Top Tier Sci-Fi Horror RPG
After devouring the 30-ish page paperwork rulebook for Mothership, I can tell you it is without a doubt one of the cleanest and most efficient designs for an RPG I have ever come across, and I cannot wait to run my first campaign of this game.

D&D Schedule and GM Tools
Thanks to an improvement in my groups gaming schedule, we'll not only be gaming more often, but will be playing a wider variety of board games, RPGs, and tabletop miniatures games, and because of this increase in RPG frequency, I decided to look into Quest Portal, a new Virtual Table Top and GM toolkit program.

Best Booths To Visit | Gen Con 2024 Exhibit Hall
NOTE: I spent the first few minutes of this chat discussing why we broke with tradition and didn't attend Gen Con 2023 last year, which is a COVID heavy rant. Feel free to skip it, this video is long enough on it's own haha. GO TO @6:55 to SKIP.
This year we'll be returning to Gen Con, the worlds largest table top gaming convention, held in downtown Indianapolis, IN. Our favorite part by far is walking the exhibit hall and taking a nice long look at the goods that each of the 500+ vendors have to offer. However this year, in order to make certain we don't miss any of our favorites, we've developed a plan!

PRIVATEER PRESS SELLS WARMACHINE | Is this the end of Privateer Press
MASSIVE NEWS! Privateer Press, after 25 years of developing their beloved and highly successful tabletop miniatures wargames, Warmachine and Hordes, as well as their Tabletop RPG, Iron Kingdoms, has sold almost their entire catalog to Steamforged Games, the UK based game developer and publisher that is likely best known for their failed, yet now rebooted, steampunk miniatures game Guild Ball. This acquisition not only includes the above mentioned titles but almost every single IP they have ever created. Is this the end of Privateer Press? Will Steamforged be able to save the waning legends, Warmachine and Iron Kingdoms? What will become of the plethora of newer and less developed privateer press games such as Riot Quest, Warcaster, and Company of Iron?

TO CAPTAINCON, WITH LOVE | Reflecting On CaptainCon 2024
This past weekend was CaptainCon 2024, the 10th year of the con, and we've attended each of them. However, even though we had a great time, just as much fun this year as any other, we had some interesting realizations by the end of weekend.
ALSO! I failed to mention that there are 5 or 6 people that we only get to see at CaptainCon, and we'd really miss not seeing them. So, add that to the 'in favor' side of things.
