HUSKY Gets Her Own Ice Pool for the FIRST Time!

Skaya got her very own ice pool for the first time ever! The perfect way to celebrate the start of a very hot summer! ☀️

Last year, I promised Skaya I would buy her a kiddie (wading) pool and give her an ice bath… Unfortunately, I only fulfilled half of that promise (the pool part). This summer, to make it up to her, I got 80lbs (36kg) of ice to fill up her pool and let her do her thing! She’s always enjoyed chewing on ice cubes, but she’s never faced so much ice at one time before.

I think this was a nice treat for a fluffy, double-coated dog like Skaya on a day this hot (with the humidity, it reached 40°C/104°F!) Some people don’t realize that although Canada can have very harsh winters, we also get hit with some pretty hot weather!! That’s why, even over here, it’s important to keep your husky (or dog in general) cool with lots of water, shade, air conditioning… and an ice pool, when you can! 😉
