We're starting to learn more about the new 6.8x51 or .227 Fury that the military is looking at adopting. They military was looking at it for use in a GPMG but has also been testing it in a new infantry rifle known as the Sig SPEAR and Raptor. The new weapons seem to generate the same, or more, recoil as the .308 which is something the military dropped for its infantry rifle in the mid-60's.
