East-(er) of Eden (part 2)

Here’s my follow up to the previous word about “facing consequences”. It’s needful to clarify this message to not highlight sin-consciousness. This word had to be qualified in light of the gospel. So as we face our lot in life and feel driven to “do better” because of failures or the cards we were dealt, let’s just remember that Jesus will make a feast out of our famine. He will join Himself to all our wandering. We can be rest assured we’ll never miss the new thing He’s unfolding because He makes “a way in the wilderness”.

“Then Cain went away from the presence of the LORD and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden” - Genesis 4:16 ESV.

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” - Isaiah 43:19 ESV.

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies” - Psalm 23:5.

“I will appoint them for praise and fame in every land where they were put to shame” - Zephaniah 3:19 NKJV.
