Protestors gathered at Civic Square in Wellington and then marched on to the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, followed by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, on Monday, April 4th 2022.

It was day four of the Unite. group’s 14 day protest against several political issues including vaccine mandates, government overreach and economic destruction. Day four’s focus was on economic destruction. Protestors were invited to speak about how the government’s COVID response had affected their businesses and employment.

The Unite. group provided food and drink to support the needs of the protestors. Police had a visible presence in the area and lurked in the vicinity during the protest.

On March 23rd 2022, the Prime Minister announced an easing of the COVID restrictions that would become active at 23:59 April 4th 2022. However, mandates still apply to healthcare, border and elderly care workers.
