The 64th Grammy 2022 was marked, this Sunday (3/4), by the awards of debutant Olivia Rodrigo and Jon Batiste. However, the main American music awards will also have in its list of memories the appearance of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who gave a surprise speech to the public during the awards.

Zelensky appeared virtually before the performance of singer John Legend. Ukraine's leader spoke about Russia's war, which has been going on for more than a month. On the recording, he called for an end to the conflict and appealed to artists to help speak “the truth about war”.

“In our land, we are fighting Russia, which brings a horrible silence with its bombs. Deadly silence,” declared the besieged president. He also commented that 400 children were injured and urged all people to support Ukraine: "Don't be silent".
