GRUMEC Combat Divers Of the Brazilian Navy

GRUMEC is a military unit of combat divers for special operations of the Brazilian Navy. With doctrine similar to that of the US Navy SEALs and the British Special Boat Service, its role is to infiltrate, without being noticed, in coastal and riverside areas, and perform tasks such as reconnaissance, sabotage and destruction of strategically valuable targets. It is located on Mocanguê Island, Niterói, Rio de Janeiro.
