My guest, Bane Saleh, Founder of the Mothers Of The Amazon, is an architect, an environmental sustainable strategist, and a plant and health researcher. She has worked for many years in the fields of sustainable architecture, metropolitan research and design, and Zero waste technology.

After a personal health crisis, she spent the following 10 years researching the field of public health to both identify the root causes of the global rise in chronic illnesses including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and allergies, and find medicinal plants and alternative treatments to fight those diseases.
Her passion for healing with nature led her to nature’s largest pharmacy, the Amazon.

In 2019, she founded the Mothers of the Amazon initiative with the mission to protect the Amazon Rainforest and the health of its indigenous communities through restorative and regenerative community projects that empower women in the Brazilian Amazon. Since its creation, Mothers of the Amazon has been designing and implementing a sustainable community Master Plan, a model of sustainable development for the Amazon in the region of Carapana in Acre, Brazil. Bane’s mission is to raise awareness of the need to protect the Amazon for future generations.

The Mothers of the Amazon are raising the next generations of guardians of the forest who will protect the world’s biodiversity and pharmacy for future generations.
