The fifth teaser clip from “Silver Ships”, the new live compilation album by Parousia, is Track #3 “Lucifer’s Lament”, recorded live at Uncle Sam’s, Cheektowaga, NY. December 1980. This show was the band’s first performance at one of the biggest night clubs in Buffalo, NY. Uncle Sam’s featured national recording artists and the best bands that Western NY had to offer. On this night, Parousia was appearing as the opening act for Crossroads, a popular local rock band that like us, started playing at Mc Van's on Niagara and Hertel St. in Buffalo. Almost one year later, Parousia would play Uncle Sam’s again, for a live broadcast on 97 Rock, WGRQ FM. “Lucifer’s Lament” (along with “Cotton Holiday” and “Malmedy”), is one of the very early compositions written by the band. Lyrics and music by Garth Hules (lead guitar/vocals), and featuring Patt Connolly, (flute/vocals), Barry Cannizzaro (guitar), Eric Scheda (piano/organ/synth), Robert Lowden (bass), Gerry N. Cannizzaro (drums). (Photos from Forest Lawn Cemetery courtesy of Marsha Falcokswi). Look for “Silver Ships” on iTunes/Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, Deezer, Tidal, Napster, YouTube, Pandora, and iHeartRadio
