Sad Fact Sunday Tamerlane

The first poem most people think of when Edgar Allan Poe is mentioned is usually The Raven. But Poe wrote many poems throughout his lifespan and considered himself first and foremost a poet. His first published book of poems featured the poem Tamerlane, and was so rare it was believed to be non-existent for most of Poe's career. We're going to look a little further into the writing and publishing of this poem collection and it's impact on the narrative of Poe.
