Marcos was one of those who were called into the army as a 3rd lieutenant during the mobilization in the summer and fall of 1941. The U.S. Army has confirmed that Ferdinand Marcos fought on the U.S. side after the December 1941 Japanese invasion of the Philippines until April 1942, after which he was taken prisoner. Ferdinand Emmanuel Edralin Marcos Sr., CCLH, KGCR was a Filipino politician and lawyer who was the 10th president of the Philippines from 1965 to 1986.
