The 2 Trudeau's (with a sprinkle of Mulroney) vs The Aboriginal Peoples: Chapter 1 Pierre E. Trudeau

Many Canadian's are aware of the events of 1982, when our Constitution and Charter of Rights and Freedoms that were created by Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Jean Chretien, Roy McMurtry and Roy Romanow was signed into Law, even though Quebec refused to sign. However, not many of us are aware of what transpired after the Queen of England signed that Document on April 17, 1982.

In a time long before the Internet, starting in March of 1983 there began Constitutional Conferences between the Federal and Provincial Governments and the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada regarding their Rights within this "New Constitution".
Pierre Elliott Trudeau was Prime Minister and Chairman at the start of these Conferences, and right from the beginning, we can see just how the "Powers That Be" wanted little to do with the negotiations with the Aboriginal Peoples during these Conferences in terms of finding solutions to the Aboriginal Peoples grievances!

In 1984 Pierre Elliott Trudeau would resign as Prime Minister, handing the reigns over to Brian Mulroney.

With the help of the National Film Board of Canada, I will shed some light on the events in question!

The end of this video has some bonus Pierre Elliott Trudeau information, which are represented by the last 2 Links in the description!
