Every year, around 500,000 people are injured and 300 are killed from ladder mishaps. In 2021, the Naval Safety Command recorded more than 360 afloat-related ladder mishaps. Whether using a ladderwell on a ship or using a portable ladder at home, these tips can help you get home safely. The Naval Safety Command provides defense-in-depth and ensures the naval enterprise is both safe to operate and operating safely.
