Notes:
This story is evolving. At the time of video posting on March 28, 2022, I’ve left voicemails for Mike Marquardt, Jeremie Prock, and Mike Avilla for updates and further comment.

I spoke to Jeremie Prock via phone call at about 4:30PM today. Regarding the sublease status, Prock spoke to Mike and Judith Avilla on March 26 and, according to Prock, he stated to them, “…You guys did agree, verbally over the phone, that I could sublease to anybody I wanted to (excluding a tattoo shop). And his (Mike’s) wife (Judith) said (according to Prock), ‘Jeremie, you’re right. You’re right, and we did say that. I remember the conversation. But from here on forward, anything moving forward, we would like you – if you do sublease it – you need to get a hold of us and talk to us.’”

Prock said that regards to anyone making threats towards Cindy, “That shouldn’t be happening. I wouldn’t jump to conclusions and say it was all because of Cindy. I wouldn’t say that…I know that Cindy had gone over and seen Mike. She told Mike that she was afraid to come to work now because he was there. That was the same answer I had heard from the owner before I had heard from Mike, from the management at Sunset…Should people be retaliating against her? No. Absolutely one-hundred-percent not. Shame on them.”

Regards to the status of the sublease, Prock said Marquardt and the Avillas had a phone conversation this morning and, now, awaiting a final decision on approving the sublease.
