ApeCoin Falls 8% After A Phishing Scam On The Bored Ape Yacht Club Discord!

The governance token underpinning the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT collection, ApeCoin, has plummeted by more than 8% in the previous 24 hours. The 8% drop was exacerbated by accusations that BAYC's Discord channel had been infiltrated by a phishing attack in the early hours of Friday morning. Peckshield, a security organization, confirmed that at least one Mutant APE NFT was lost as a consequence of this specific phishing operation.
