Trevor Bauer Suing Ex-Reporter and The Athletic for Defamation Stemming From Sexual Abuse Claims

Trevor Bauer has filed a defamation lawsuit against the outlet that promulgated the story that caused all the problems stemming from the 2021 Sexual Abuse accusations that were shown and proven to be absolutely false. Molly Knight, the author of the piece and The Athletic, the outlet the now former journalist published the piece in are the Defendants in the suit. According to the document, the Athletic and Knight had access to the Medical Records of "Ms. Hill" and knowing that she had nothing resembling a "cracked skull," they ran with that story. That's actual malice and knowingly publishing false information; textbook defamation.
