BREAKING DOWN: Breaking The Tabo -- How Do Filipinos Feel About LGBTQ Folk | EP 152

Taking a look at ONE DOWN's episode on "How Do Filipinos Feel About LGBTQ Folks?" So actually nothing really spicy here. I thought they were going to go heavy about woke activism etc. (while, sure, they were some eye rolling parts). But my take away from this video is more of how Filipino LGBTQ are breaking the bamboo ceiling. Next, their opening premise that Filipinos care about LGBTQ folks ONLY if they're celebrities is something I rather agree with. Their solution is to be your authentic self. Whereas I can agree to some degree of that however recognizing that Filipinos are rooted in traditional values, so be authentic but not off putting. A good demographic of LGBTQ folks just want to be left alone. Straight up embodying Gadsden Flag's motto. So my addendum to being your authentic self is to include avoiding the traps of progressivism in hyper sexualization, activism, pride over humility, and more importantly pride over God.
