The .22LR version of S&W’s M&P Sport II AR is the M&P 15-22, which is an almost exact representation. All controls, all fixtures and functionality are identical to the larger caliber M&P 15 Sport II. Of course, that was the point --- to allow for seamless transitioning for everything from teaching to training to cost effective plinking --- on a familiar AR style frame. The M&P 15-22 offers an affordable out-of-the-box range-ready sporting rifle in .22 caliber. The M&P 15-22 is well-made, highly reliable and accurate.
