Multipliers
5X on your top eligible spend category up to $500 each billing cycle. Eligible categories include Restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, select travel, select transit, select streaming Services, drugstores, home improvement stores, fitness clubs, and live entertainment. Whichever category of those you spend the most on in a billing cycle, you will earn 5X on the first $500 of spend and for the rest of the spend will all be 1X. So essentially you can earn 2,500 Citi Thank You Points a month by hitting that cap but then after that you need to be cautious as you’ll only be earning 1X which I always recommend trying to avoid.

Multipliers
5x on up to $1,500 on combined purchases in bonus categories each quarter you activate. Here on the screen are the bonus categories for Q2 2022. Chase doesn’t announce the new bonus categories until 2 weeks before a new quarter begins.
In addition the flex earns 5X on travel booked through the travel portal, 3x on dining and drug store purchases, and a base of 1X on everything else
