ABOUT OUR GUESTS: Bernard "Berney" Flowers
Mr. Bernard “Berney” Flowers is running for Congress in Maryland's 2nd Congressional District. With a career that spans over 33 years of combined experience in the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the private sector, Berney brings a wealth of expertise to bear. He served nearly 21 years on active duty in the US Air Force, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. During his Air Force career, Berney deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and “visited” twenty- two countries and forty-three states in the performance of his duties. He was also assigned to the US Air Force’s “Air Staff” when the Pentagon was attacked on Sept 11, 2001. After retiring from active duty Berney worked at United Services Automobile Association (USAA) as a Project Manager, leading matrixed teams in the development and implementation of computer software deliverables supporting the release of financial products and services worth nearly $50 million. In 2009, he returned to DoD as a civilian employee, where he served as part of US Cyber Command’s initial staff and as NORAD & USNORTHCOM’s Sr. Advisor to Ft Meade. Most recently, he served as NORAD & USNORTHCOM’s Sr. Advisor to the DHS.

Berney holds two Graduate Certificates in Cyber Leadership, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, and a BA in Political Science. He is a graduate of the US Air Force’s Air War College and he is a Certified Project Manager. His National Security experience is focused in the fields of Cybersecurity, Information Operations, Operations Security, Satellite Communications, Program Management, and Information Management.

Maryland's Governor recently appointed Berney to the State's Trial Courts Judicial Nominating Commission for District 9 - Howard County. Md.

Berney is a proud husband of 33 years, a father of two successful young adult children and a new grandfather. He volunteers locally through his church and his fraternity and is a mentor to many. He enjoys traveling, gardening, target shooting and entertaining friends.

PAUL LOTT:
Paul Lott is the Founder of the National Society for the Advancement of Black Americans (NSABA.org), an organization formed in the aftermath of the George Floyd riots as a needed counter-balance to the false racial narrative being pushed in America. The NSABA focuses on data and evidence-based solutions of race and poverty. Mr. Lott is an alumni of Harvard College, a U.S. Army veteran, father, author, and long-time education activist. He is a candidate for Congress in Virginia's 10th Congressional District, running on a platform for parent's rights, banning CRT, and education reform.
