Ep 1. Jules Verne - Classic Cartoons: "Around The World In 80 Days"

This is the first episode in a series of old cartoons from the 70s based upon the work of Jules Verne. In this case - "Around The World In 80 Days".
I first saw some of the cartoons in this series when I was very young, probably 5 or 6 years old, when they were shown for the first and only time on UK TV. In spite of my youth these films left a permanent mark through their imagery, narrative and ideas. I searched for them several times over the years but without success.
Until now.
A good friend of mine, Tzvi Lebetkin - The Rabbi From Another Planet - recommended I watch the new David Tennant Around the World in 80 Days, which I did, and it was excellent. But once again I was reminded of those old cartoons from my childhood. I could not even remember the names of the stories, I had been so young at the time. But I found other episodes based upon more famous stories which looked like the ones I remembered, and eventually found all (I think) the stories in the series.
Including the three I could still remember to this day. They turned out to be, "The Master of the World", "Off On A Comet" and "From The Earth To The Moon".
I am so pleased to have found these - I have cleaned the video and audio as best I can, sometimes having to cut things together from several sources, but I plan to show them all on YouTube, including the three which so stuck in my memory. But in a nod to Tzvi's inspiration I shall start with "Around The World In 80 Days".
Above all, I hope you enjoy them.
Doctor Alex.
