Roy Orbison and the Spinners seem like an odd mix for a Segue City Special and then you try it and guess what? It works. So the Mayor did it and here it is. He finally called a staff meeting yesterday to tell us that he is moving to the country to get away from the noise and nonsense of the big city...

Apparently, he remembers how to speak "Southern" in the true style so when he says, "How are your gentlemen doing today? It looks like it's going to be hot today," it will come out as "How ya boys doin' today? It looks like it's a-gonna be hot as hell today."

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...

At least that’s the idea… your mileage may vary, check with your dealer; so, you don’t forget order before midnight; operators standing by for your important call; Our talent is on loan from God. We just pray He'll let us finish another segue for tomorrow... Member FDIC.. Licensed drivers only. This offer is void where prohibited by law and that normally means it's legal everywhere but in New Mexico... is that gun really loaded or not and where is Alec? You're a New Mexican if you’ve ever actually fried an egg on the sidewalk…and you had scrubbed the cement down first so the egg wouldn’t go to waste.

This feature is a four-time winner of the Thomas J. Duke Memorial Music Segue and BBQ Cook-Off Award. Yes, we just won again.
