ICOP Freedomfest Devival: Delux Cut

(2003) The moment starting now of the genesis of ICOP!!!!! International Church of Pancakes (with a fair number of Lemurs moonlighting as Subgenii) launch their first-ever devival live at Fayetteville's Freedomfest, put on by what was then known as Community Access Television. A gag so good we had to do it twice, Slack Force Six go scorched earth on the unsuspecting populace, preaching, ranting, screeching and howling, delivering the good word about J.R. "Bob" Dobbs and the eternal rewards of Slack!
PRODUCTION NOTES: This event happened concurrently with Bob Emenegger's obscenity complaint against us. Some believed the entire purpose of the complaint was to derail Freedomfest (and public access in general) and our sermons are peppered with references to Bob and other folks involved----in my bit I speaking of the "Illuminati" as ""riding around in little Lancelot Link Go-Carts" (Bob worked on the Lancelot Link kids' show back in the 70s....look it up for some trauma!)
This performance was a ton of fun. Enjoy!
This is a Deluxe Cut of this particular show exclusive to Rumble. Featured on the tail end of the Devival are poetry performances from Lemur adjacent personalities Fury and Doug Shields, from the Public Access show, "Short Takes", which happened to occur around this time, promoting the local poetry slam. These would have to have been directed by Leo Smith, who was CAT's head of production at that time. These clips seem to have adopted the giallo-style lighting scheme we used in our 5th Anniversary show (q.v.!) Good stuff!
