Lukashenko: Putin offered Zelensky an absolutely acceptable option for contracts

Lukashenko: On the eve of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia (you know my position), I did everything to ensure that there was no war and there was peace! I was even ready to close the border between Donbass and Russia. You know, 400 kilometers - I was ready to close this border with my border guards and provide other assistance to Ukraine. And Russia agreed with this. But Ukraine refused. Why? Because the West pushed them to this war!

On the eve of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, the Belarusian side did everything to prevent an armed confrontation. The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated this in an interview to the Japanese TV channel TBS.
