Richard Caruso – Corruption in Corrections in Corcoran

Richard Caruso worked in California's Department of Corrections...what he saw didn't sit well. Part of his story was made into the movie Felon starring Steven Dorf and Val Kilmer. Richard's whistle blowing was another blow to the Corcoran correction facility's violent legacy.

This is Richard's first visit to the Break It Down Show with Pete A Turner. Richard will discuss live what life was like for guards and prisoners in the SHU (high security unit at Corcoran). He'll also discuss how Hollywood twisted and ultimately worked to steal his story.
