We all meditate for happiness, peace of mind, controlling anger, alleviating stress but have you ever wondered about the real objective of meditation.

We all only focus towards thoughtlessness when we meditate but is that the ultimate objective of meditation? Whenever we meditate we must focus only on one thought that is chanting a mantra or working on our breathwork or listening to music. There is no state of thoughtlessness as every second we will definitely have some thought. Even the thought of being thoughtless is a perturbing thought in our mind when we meditate.

The ultimate objective of meditation is for thoughts to come but not bother us. That is, we must learn to live in the moment. Once we reach that stage we would know how to live in the moment and that is the ultimate objective of meditation.
