Russian Defence Ministry on Wednesday (Mar. 23) released a new video that appears to shows the moment as a Ukrainian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system is hit in a Russian airstrike near Kyiv.

“Operational-tactical, army aviation, and missile troops hit 97 military assets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Among them: 2 launchers and 1 transport-loading vehicle of the Tochka-U tactical missile system in an industrial zone on the northern outskirts of Kyiv, 8 anti-aircraft missile systems, including 6 Buk-M1, 1 S-300 and 1 Osa combat vehicle, 10 command posts, 8 field artillery guns, as well as 3 artillery reconnaissance stations of NATO manufacture,” said the Russian Defense Ministry on Facebook.

At least 953 civilians have been killed during the war and 1,557 injured, according to UN estimates.

However, the international body has warned that the true toll is likely to be "considerably higher."
