Marijuana victims: Colorado
51
Nearly 3.5 million Americans use recreational marijuana. Cannabis can give joy and relaxation, while legal weed is said to bring more tax revenues and to help eradicate the black market. The reality, though, is that use spirals out of control. More Americans are becoming heavy users of marijuana that’s much more potent than you might think. Marijuana products that flood US dispensaries contain higher levels of THC, which can cause psychosis, paranoia and addiction.
Colorado became one of the first testing grounds in the US when it legalized marijuana in 2012. RT Documentary visited Colorado to hear the personal stories of marijuana victims, and from families who lost loved ones to addiction.
