Ketanji Brown Jackson Doesn't Deny Being Soft on Child Porn Sentences, Admits Other Odd Things Too

The first real day of the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson took place and it went on mostly at a snail's pace and unremarkably; go figure! But some good things were asked and answered and more concerns were brought to the surface, surprisingly.

Jackson has garnered quite a bit of lobbyist money, to the shock of noone in the know. Ted Cruz asked about her support and advocation of Critical Race Theory, and looked like a dunce by backpedaling and not fully understanding the concept. Exactly what you want from someone with a lifetime appointment to the Highest Court in the Land.

The Democrats acted like you would expect too. Cory (Spartacus) Booker nearly cried, because his wonky eyes were acting up. Dick Durbin was living up to his given name and Sheldon Whitehouse was making up excuses left and right. So standard day in Washington.

Asked to address how she has handled Child Porn sentencing in the past, Ketanji Brown Jackson answered by not saying she was wrong, but some bizarre explanation that the methods of distribution had changed since the sentencing guidelines were devised. Not that collecting, disseminating and soliciting the underage pictures is wrong, or that the facts have changed, it's just that computers allow easier access, ergo lighter sentences. Retarded logic.

She also has a bad history with the First Amendment, dating back to her Harvard Law School days, so there are those questions to look forward to this week. Yay...
