"Mother Teresa" - Counterfeit Saint of Darkness vs. True Sainthood in Christ

A sermon on the Biblical definition of the true "sainthood" that ALL true Christians are called to, from the moment of salvation -- in contrast to the FALSE sainthood of the Roman Catholic Church, as was glaringly displayed in its "saint of darkness," the famous "St. Teresa of Calcutta" (a/k/a Mother Teresa), who clearly, unless she had a deathbed conversion to Christ that no one knows about, NEVER truly knew salvation in Christ - and thus never achieved true sainthood.

In both the Old testament and the New, the words "saint" and "holy" are in all cases translated from the same Hebrew or Greek word -- because they mean the same thing. As God's saints we have been called to KNOW God as our Father and to walk, NOT in darkness as Theresa of Calcutta lamented of her life, but in the LIGHT, in fellowship with our Father, our Savior, and our Comforter. We have therefore also been called to HOLINESS -- to separation from all sin and defilements of the flesh, separated unto God for His purpose and to be used by Him.

This sermon was preached by Pastor Sam Adams on 12-18-2016 at Independence Baptist Church in Ocala, Florida. Bible text: 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12; Revelation 17:1-18.
