Kurds celebrate Nowruz in northern Iraq

The Kurds of Kirkuk, in northern Iraq, celebrate the dawning of Nowruz, their new year, inside their city's citadel. The crowd raised Kurdish flags and danced around a fire. It's a tradition that wood is burnt to symbolise the end of winter and the arrival of spring.
