Fishing dispute in Colorado puts property owner against fisher

Roger Hill likes to fish. In particularly, he would like to fish on a river in Colorado. Sounds serene! However, someone else says they own the land in question, including the river bed from which Mr. Hill wishes to fish.

Mr. Hill decided to take the issue to court, with the land owner and the state of Colorado entering the mix. He really likes that fishing spot! He like it so much that he continued trying to fish even when the purported land owner tried shooting at him.

Man, I had heard fishers could be dedicated, but this is a bit much!

In today's legal analysis, we discuss the right to fish, the right to land, and when these rights come into competition. We also discuss whether it is ok to shoot at someone as part of a land access right dispute.
