The Making of Our Oak Soap Bars

Vanilla Oak is such a classic scent that can work for both men and women but the process working with this particular fragrance oil is always interesting. The fragrance oil discolors to a dark brown so with this bar, I opted for adding Bentonite clay which has all these awesome benefits and it will help to keep the bar a consistent color.

Because Bentonite Clay will absorb a LOT of liquid, I soaped at 38% with part of the water solution as distilled water and the remaining with evaporated Goats Milk.

Recipe:

30% Olive Oil
30% Palm Oil
25% Coconut Oil
5% Almond Oil
5% Hemp Oil
5% Hemp Oil

I add ground orange peel to the bentonite clay/milk mixture to add a small amount of exfoliation. This bar ends up producing a luxurious and creamy lather that works for both men and women.
