Chicago South Side St. Patrick's Day Parade | Vito & Nick's Pizza - Chicago's Finest!

Three years ago I attended and vlogged the famous St. Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago, and afterward people said "You gotta do the south side." It's the best St. Patrick's Day Parade in Chicago they said, it's a more authentic neighborhood feel, they said. South siders know how to party, they said. Screw the Cubs, they said.

All these things are true (and as a Cubs fan this hurts but let's be honest Wrigley is in a rebuild and Sox currently have the better team).

I'll say it again - the South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade is the best one in Chicago. The parade route is located in the Beverly Neighborhood - a hard working class neighborhood. It exceeded my expectations and saw nothing but love of community and people out having a great time.

I also had to stop by one of my all-time favorite pizza places in Chicago - Vito & Nick's Pizzeria. Known for their thin crust/tavern style pizza, I can heartedly say that they have the best thin crust pizza I've ever sunk my teeth in.

In case you're wondering my top 3 best pizza spots in Chicago are:
Vito & Nick's for thin crust
Burt's Place for deep dish
Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder for total uniqueness (aka pizza pot pie)

I also had to stop by the famous Green Chicago River - a must see on St. Patrick's Day week in Chicago.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!
