Traditional Chinese Medicine originated about 3000 years. It sees the body as an integrated whole and focuses on helping people live in balance with themselves and with nature.

On today’s show we will get an overview of some of the TCM principles then we are going to get into the importance of our Fascia health.. and what the link is between diet, emotions, and our Fascia System through the TCM lens.

My guest Andy (Tsz Chiu) Chan is a strength and conditioning coach with a master’s degree in exercise science he’s also an educator, author.

He currently teaches education courses for the National Academy of Sports Medicine, TRX, TriggerPoint Performance, and Power Plate.

In his recently published book called “Dynamic Balance” that he wrote along with a TCM practitioner, he breaks down the ancient principles of TCM, explores the interconnectedness between diet, emotions, and training through the lens of TCM, and gives a really great guide to integrate and incorporate these principles into our own strength and conditioning training by showing how TCM can really serve as a great compliment to current exercise models.
