West rebukes Russian claims of US-funded bioweapons in Ukraine; China calls for bio-security at UNSC

New details have come to light that allows to state that components for biological weapons were being created in the territory of Ukraine, according to Vasily Nebenzia, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations.

Following renewed allegations from the Russian Federation regarding chemical weapons in Ukraine, the UN High Representative for Disarmament Affairs told the Security Council on Friday that the organization "is not aware of any such biological weapons programmes."
