Maajid Nawaz explains why religious freedom is one of the most important of all human rights, explaining that the ability to freely explore or practice your spiritual beliefs is what leads to a successful democracy. Communism, Nawaz says, is antithetical to this free expression, because it undermines the critical necessity for all to believe in the state and the Communist Party as the supreme authority in the world. He says that in for communism to thrive, religious belief and the morality it provides must be fully destroyed in a society.
