Funny moment US toddler refuses to let go of a wild BULL SNAKE

This is the funny moment a toddler refused to let go of a wild bull snake - after being handed it by his uncle.

Cal Bangerter, three, was out playing with his relatives on his family's farm in Melba, Idaho, when his uncle Eli Bangerter, 23, noticed the reptile in the grass.

Eli handed his nephew the snake to see how he'd react, but, to his surprise, Cal was completely unfazed by the situation.

In fact, the youngster seemed more upset that he was being forced to let the snake go.

In the video Cal's grandpa Layne Bangerter, 60, can be seen holding him in his arms whilst Cal has the snake firmly in his grip.

It's not until companion and fellow church goer Nathan Hitchcock, 21, reaches over and pries the snake out of Cal's hand that he finally lets go.

Nathan then sets the snake free by throwing it into a nearby bush before it slithers away unharmed.

Cal's uncle Eli Bangerter, 23, who filmed the video, said: "We grew up hunting coyotes and rabbits so as a family we're used to being around wildlife a lot.

"Here in the states there's loads of it about and like Cal we spent a huge amount of our childhood outside immersed in nature.

"When I gave it to him he didn't react at all.

"That's when Nathan stepped in and made sure the snake was returned safely back to the wild"
