Today is March 17th and it is day 17 with our incubator. 45 eggs from Myshire Farm were placed in our Nurture Right 360 incubator that I recently purchased at our local Tractor Supply store.

The 45 eggs went into the incubator on March 1st 2022. From the time of the eggs being freshly laid and shipped by UPS from Ohio, was only 3 days. I had let the eggs rest from the ups delivery for 24 hours. That was on day 28th February 2022. On March 1st, the 45 went into the incubator. Thus, on March 15th, it was Lockdown time. I took all 45 eggs out of the incubator and candled them all. I discovered 5 of them were not fertile. And I disposed the 5 non fertile eggs. The remaining 40 fertile eggs were put back into the incubator at 99.5 F. Humidity went from 45%, now up to 70 to 75 %. Today is the 17th of March. With barely 48 hours since lockdown, we discovered an egg pipping already. Wow! Praise God. At least one of the eggs is alive. lol..

It has been quite an afternoon today and evening. It's now past 10:30pm. I'm in my living room and the Quail are in the spare bedroom with the door closed. I hear the CHIRPING!
Our last count this evening was approximately 9 or 10 and more to come. I have no idea how many more we will hatch but hopping for the best.

I discuss the brooder and grow out/layer cage. I hope you'll enjoy this video. Blessings, Wayne & Aida
